Express Garage Door Service

Very frustrated with Express Garage Door Service! We needed an overhead door replaced. I called Andy it took about a week for him to stop out to measure the door we ordered the door April 2,2022 I had to give him a 30% deposit. He gave me an install date of 3 to 4 weeks, I figured end of April or early May. We heard nothing for several months. I contacted Andy if the door was in he said he would check, He never got back to me for a few weeks I contacted him again and once again was told that he would check. No response! Several unanswered calls and messages over the next few weeks! December 6 2022 he finally answered my call and said the door was in and he would get it installed. After several weekly unanswered calls and messages to schedule an install date, I left a message trying to remain patient and polite that I needed the door installed or my deposit returned. No response! January 3,2023 I called Andy and he answered my call but was laughing so hard I couldn’t understand him. I asked to schedule an install date, he said he would call me back in 20 minutes and hung up on me. No call back and would not answer my calls or messages! My Wife called Andy after work he answered her call she kept him on the phone and finally got an install scheduled for Saturday morning at 8am He was a no show! No call! And no answer both of our calls or messages. We left voice messages and text messages that if he was not going to install the door we needed our deposit back. Now very frustrated With Express Garage Door Service I did some checking and found out that Express Garage Door Service was a discontinued business since 2019! Andy is still using the name on invoices and business cards and voicemails. We are trying to figure out where we can go from here. We are contacting the BBB and any other agencies that may help. PLEASE do NOT do business with Express Garage Door Service or Andrew Manislovich

When I talked to them they said they would be out in the next few hours. They were there in under an hour. He looked at the rollers and said that they were old and needed to be replaced which I agreed with. He also inspected the whole mechinism and we agreed that the cables should be replaced as well. He did that work, lubricated all the necessary spots, adjusted the tension on the spring and adjusted the rails so that they were a better distance apart. I was pleased with the result and he was done in a timely manner. He was professional and knew what he was doing. They also provide a warranty on their work.

I found this company via a weekly flyer and they had a coupon for a garage door inspection.   I was pleasantly surprised by the service and attention to detail Andy had on the job, and also what I thought was a pretty good price.  In that service he mentioned they had a premium quality weather stripping and he gave me the price on it.  I took note of that number and decided to set-up an appointment to replace the weather stripping and made an appointment for late morning.

The day of the service was up and down.  Andy called to re-schedule at 3PM, which I was fine with.  But the worker didn't end up showing up until almost 430pm.  When he got there he had a garage door to install and I advised my job was weather stripping only.  I was then quoted with a service call in addition to the parts, which I thought was odd b/c in my opinion it wasn't a service call per se.  We ended up settling on a price to continue the job, which I respect. 

The actual work went pretty well.  Junior did a good job and the weather stripping is much more quality than what I had.  Andy followed up to make sure the work was done.

My honest opinion is I think their work is good and their prices are fair, but they really could use a receptionist.  The phone connection has been poor each time I've called as its a headset on the job.  I think communication gets messed up in the process. 

PRICE: I think their prices are fair and they offer coupons.  I would recommend getting a quote before having them come out to avoid my situation. 

QUALITY: No qualms here.

RESPONSIVENESS: Excellent.  Andy always has answered my calls and gotten back to me.

PUNCTUALITY: Hasn't been great.  Both services I have had were scheduled for the morning, but didn't get there until the afternoon.  And the last one went to almost 7PM and we had to scrap our evening plans.

PROFESSIONALISM: I'll bump it to good as Andy is friendly and is in the interest of doing good work.  But as said I think they could use a receptionist to handle the appointments, what the job entails, etc and that would help with some of the communication barriers we had.

I would likely use again for any garage door needs.
