"Due to rain and soft lawn conditions we were unable to do this spring cleanup before the customer did it himself. It was explained to him that our dethatching equipment weighs approximately 1400 lbs and puts his lawn at risk for damage due to these soft conditions. He seemed completely satisfied with our discussion and a refund was mailed to him in less than 24 hours. We never want to risk tearing up or damaging someone's lawn by putting our equipment on turf that cannot support the weight. Our goal is to leave all lawns more beautiful than we find them!"

Cust service and installation effort was outstanding. I only withheld top rating on value as verdict is still out on sod performance. I have had other landscaper whose work proved shoddy and in fact involved the grass that CJS had to come and redo.

The 2nd time th ey mowed the lawn the settings on the mower were incorrect (according to them) and both front & back lawns were scalped. Upon telling them they offer to return their fee. I called back the next day after closer inspection. They just weren't interested until I used the words 'court date'. They came out and re-seeded, but I had to do more myself the following spring. Irresponsible and poor business skills.

"Carolyn the first mowing we did a wonderful job (according) to you. I believe you even thanked us with a couple cold sodas as we left. As I explained, at the next mowing the mower wheel fell off the 4 inch lip on your lawn. We refunded your mowing fee and offered to reseed the area. I went out, inspected the area to prepare for the repair and talked with you ending with an accepted apology. Then we reseeded not only this area but your whole front section. I feel we went above a simple repair and put 4 times your mowing cost into free repair. I'm sorry you are unhappy as we do our best for all of our customers."

At first this Company was very impressive to me, the young man who owns it is very nice and professional. They did work hard all day and did a great job. BUT I was given a very low estimate which is why I hired them along with his honest demeaner. When it came time to write the check the final bill tripled! I even brought out the reciept I was originally given to show the discrepency. Then I was informed that was for materials only. VERY DECEIVING! I could have stopped them from proceding but I would have been left with a mess in my back yard! VERY UNHAPPY AND WILL NOT HIRE AGAIN>>

"Andrea. I feel you are displaying this incorrectly. I came out gave you an estimate to repair sod. There were two areas which I broke down separately on the estimate for you to see in case one would come back. Upon calling you because I was able to get to the job sooner than scheduled I asked if we were doing both spots or just one. You told me both. I brought sod for both areas, and you added some sand removal around your pool and changed one of the areas to include an additional poor spot. You did not question the total at the time of service, we are sorry you are unhappy but the additions increased the total due."

we still have five big pieces of wood 2 on the city soccer field and the rest on next door nieghbors property. we paid for removal?

"Tom you told me I could leave the stumps on the retaining wall because who ever was coming to tear it down could take them. Upon your call after you wrote this review I returned to take the stumps and removed and disposed of them. Please call us in the future if you have questions or concerns and so that we have the opportunity to correct things to your satisfaction. We want you to be happy with the service we provide."

Great customer service. Hired them to do snow plowing and some shoveling at our place of business. We've only had to have it done one so far, but I'm sure that will change. Lot and sidewalks were cleared before anyone got here in the morning and their fees are competitive. Would recommend them.
