From working with Mike to the having the install, the process was beyond my expectations. Met the salesperson Mike at the GB home and lifestyle show. Bay Area services was the only vendor that had and would talk price at the show. Within 3 weeks of the initial meeting we had our new AC at the best price. And we shopped around a lot. Mike never tried to sell us something we didn't need and was great to work with. The tech that installed the unit did a great job and didn't leave a mess. Haven't had a chance to really use the unit yet since it's still heating season but was assured once the cooling season starts if there is any issues that they would take care of it. Will probably switch to them for all of our hearing and cooling needs.

Where to start? * FIRST OF ALL, I want to point out the only good review of them on Yelp is by A CURRENT EMPLOYEE! He even states it at the end of his review. That's right they have a CURRENT EMPLOYEE PUTTING UP GOOD REVIEWS FOR THEM. That should give you and idea of who they are! I hired Bay Area Services Heating & Cooling to put in new HVAC including Ductwork. 1. They DIDN'T DO IT TO CODE so It DIDN"T PASS INSPECTION and so they TRIED TO GET ME TO PAY MORE TO GET IT TO PASS INSPECTION. When I told Jack B about it he tried saying I instructed to do it that way. First of all, I don't do HVAC which is why I hired them in the first place. It's not my job to know or make sure it's to code it's theirs! Plus, the first item that didn't pass, they decided. I will update this in the near future and add emails, details and pictures but that's a pretty big one! The best part of his response is his claim that I instructed him to go against code?!# What? Really, so a) he means to tell me if I tell him to do something against code he will? Had I known that I would've chosen something better than locating the AC in the wrong spot...seriously. b) If he knew what he was doing or what the workers were doing he would know it wasn't going to pass and wouldn't have told them not to put it there. This guys responses are so ridiculous. Instead HE TRIED TO MAKE MONEY ON THEIR MISTAKE! 2. Absolutely every step of the process was a nightmare. They cut 2 holes in my hardware floors in the upstairs bedroom where you can see down through to the living room and left them their without anything. Not even a vent cover. When I asked about them Jack B tried saying it was because of layout due to a chimney. Not true! I asked them if they could get started on things that needed to be done regardless of whether the chimney had work on it or not and he said they could. They just screwed up and left it there. 3. When I did the walk through with one of their guys, I pointed out that a few things before we even get to the city inspection: First of all, There was a huge 2 inch gap around a pipe in the basement wall where they ran a line to the AC unit. So, kind of defeats the purpose of HVAC if the outside air is flowing freely into the house, not to mention all the bugs and whatever else. I pointed that out and was told it would be taken care of. Even after pointing it out, they put a little puddy in the hole but when I checked it again it still had a gap. Second, there were gaps in the ductwork. This is brand new ductwork, it shouldn't have gaps in it! I will say at least that guy then went through and taped a few gaps up but they shouldn't be there to begin with. 4. This was new ductwork so they tore some things out and JUST LEFT ALL THE DEMO, WOOD, PLASTER, GARBAGE ETC in a big, big pile. When I asked about it Jack B said they weren't going to clean it up. Every thing they did was to ensure they did the least work. Jack B is so unethical it creeps me out. The work done, the process and the response to all the issues is just a nightmare. I will probably have more when I update with pictures.

Everything went great. I'm always called in the Fall and Spring to schedule an appointment. Brad in the office always does a great job answering all my questions. I always request Ron as my service technician. He's very friendly, takes his time, explains everything, and answers all my questions.

They were fabulous. It was last summer, my mom had just moved in, so things were a little chaotic, and they were able to come right away.

I wanted to get a more efficient furnace and do it before the old one broke down. The staff at Bay Area Services were great about coming to my house and looking at the equipment I had. They explained all the options, including keeping my current furnace and AC.
With the fact that the refrigerant in my old AC will no longer be available starting in 2015 and the federal and local energy credits available I decided to replace both units. There was also an attractive financing option offered by Bay Area Services.
The installation was scheduled at my convenience and the techs arrived on time and even gave a courtesy call to say they were on the way. They were extremely polite and professional and got everything done in a single day including cleaning up and giving me instructions on the new thermostat that I got to properly run the new systems.
This is a very good company and their service techs are the best!

Excellent company, professional and knowledgable of product installed. The only company that actually took the time to analyze my needs and provide a solution based on the size and structure of my home. They did an analysis based on insulation, type and rating of windows, square footage etc. and determined what would best fit my home and needs. The solution and equipment installed I could not be happier with, it fits my needs perfectly. I had a Trane product installed which is energy efficient, quiet and keeps my home at my desired temperature. The installation team was very professional, cleaned up everything after their install. My contact with my sales person as well as back in the home office was always professional, calls returned immediately and any questions I had were answered, you were never made to feel you were a "bother" but that you are a valued customer. I highly recommend Bay Area Services and their professional staff.

I have a service contract with Bay Area Services so that they come out and do the winter and the spring checkup and it gives me a reduced rate if there is any service call or anything like that. They explains things very well you know whatever they are doing they explain what they are doing so that anyone could understand if they answer any questions. They explain anything that needs to be done as far you know if your using the wrong filter then you need to use a different filter or whatever just very thorough. They are professional. They are very polite in every thing.

Replaced a more than 20 year old gas forced air furnace and air conditioner with new Trane units. | |Initially, I am very pleased with the installation and the operation of the Trane equipment.  Bay Area Services did a very good job of adapting the new equipment to the existing duct work. The installation took less than a day, they removed all of the old equipment and explained the operation of the new unit. At my request they willingly returned to make a minor air flow adjustment and answered some additional questions that I had about the new equipment. Bay Area Services also submitted all of the paperwork for a rebate and an energy reward. |The rebate and reward checks were promptly mailed directly to me. |

I had five remote thermostats placed in my house. I specifically requested a brand that I would NOT have to pay a monthly fee to operate. They installed a brand that charges a monthly fee. Their support system for setting up the thermostats to my local network consisted of calling an 800 number vs just doing the job from start to finish. When asked to return to hook up a duct (a ten minute job) they were not interested in my job. Unless you're going to hold these guys' hands on a big job from start to finish, I'd recommend shopping elsewhere.

It went well Brian went through everything and told me that the furnace was older and parts were aging.  Obviously there are no guarantees with anything but he did run through some options for the aging parts.  He didn't put any pressure on me just notified me on the aging parts.  It will have to be replaced at some point but we hope to get through this winter.

The salesman was very friendly and accommodated my schedule. Many details were provided with several options and price ranges. They took care of getting me several refunds and all rebates were sent to me. I received a rebate that paid me back my down payment. I was also lucky enough to purchase a TRANE system with zero percent interest for 4 years. To good to pass so I used their service. Very happy with the installation since they had to work with a 60 year old house made of concrete block. All work was completed in approximately 7 hours. The company went out of their way to get me an extended warranty on my system at no cost to me based on an offer that had expired but they honored. Very friendly and helpful after the installation, answering questions and verifying my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend them.

The day of the installation, it only took two guys 4-5 hours to remove the old boiler and install the new one. They put cloths down on the floors from the door to the furnace room. Everything was done efficiently and neatly.  When they were finished they went over everything with me and showed me what they had done.  They had to improvise a bit because the floor underneath the old boiler was not in good shape, so they found some wood in my garage and made a level surface for the new boiler to sit on.  I appreciated their extra efforts in this regard, instead of just putting the new boiler on the old, worn-out floor.
