We live in a Cape Cod home, so its steep roof is not the easiest to work on. The crew arrived on the morning of May 10th and worked steadily until late in the day. Before leaving, they made sure that all debris was swept up. (Our driveway never looked so clean!) They returned the next morning to remove the framing on the cap and to finish up. Our chimney now looks great!

The work was excellent. The contractor was patient in letting us review some sample colors of mortar.  The sill is beautiful.
We enjoy looking at the finished project every day.

Because of the steepness of my roof and the height of my chimney I had difficulty in getting anyone to even come out and give me an estimate to replace my chimmney.  Mike was able to respond promptly to my request for a estimate and was very patient with my questions.  Once the work commenced, Mike was able to determine that some of the brick would not need to be replaced and was able to save me an additional $600 off the original estimate. The work was completed very quickly and the workers did excellent job cleaning up afterwards.  I was very pleased with the quality of the work.

I needed to get estimates to re-tuckpoint my 1929 brick home. Over the years, the lower three feet of my house was in bad shape on one side of the home (birds were eating the mortar) and the remaining three sides had a few areas of loose mortar.
After receiving my first estimate from a local company, I had sticker shock.  The quote was for approx. $6000.
This local company continued to call me to get the job after I told them the price seemed a bit high and I had other estimates on the way.
After further searching I came across Jen-Chris Company.  I called and spoke with Mike who came by the next day while I was home to review my situation. I felt very comfortable with him from the start and he fully explained what they could do. I received a written estimate from him in the mail within a couple days. His estimate was for $3235.  Now that was more in line with my expectations. I signed and returned the contract to Mike with confidence.
Mike let me know he received it and that he would be calling me in a couple weeks to let me know the day they would be out.
They showed up on the day they promised and completed the work in three days. The color matching of the joints was amazing. I couldn't tell what was original from what was new. I was very happy with the job they did and the clean up of my yard after each day.
A month after the job was finished, I happened to notice a small 6"area that was missed. It was below a cement window sill and hard to see. I left Mike a message and he called me back withing an hours. He stated he would take care of it that day. When I returned home from work, the job was complete.
I will say that Jen-Chris Company was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor.

They do a nice overall job, and they do it fairly quickly.  The tuck pointing is pretty good - certainly better than I have found with other vendors in the area.  As we worked around various areas of the house, they were very good at evaluating the issues, giving me a fair estimate of the cost, and then leaving a well-completed job neat and clean.  I found them to be clever at figuring out solutions, which is usually a good test of experience and intelligence.

The process was very smooth. Telephone calls and e mails were answered in a very timely manner. The estimate included some work options and the details of the options were explained to me and matched information that I heard from other companies and read online. The estimate was the lowest of the three I obtained and the final cost matched the estimate. The workers arrived when scheduled and worked diligently while they were here. They cleaned up the broken bits from the removal of the old brick and were respectful of the yard and shrubbery. All of the people that spoke with me on the job or the phone were friendly and informative. Obviously, not much time has past since the completion, but I am very satisfied.

Mike Lempke and the 2 others who worked with him were extremely professional and great to work with.  Mike explained everything he was doing from the beginning, as they worked, and when the job was complete.  The work was messy work, but they took care during the work and made sure everything was cleaned up afterwards.  Pride of workmanship and skill was evident with Mike and the others throughout the process.  Mike was also very helpful with advice on process and materials to use for caulking and sill sealing which my son who owns the home would be doing himself.  I would highly recommend them to anyone!

We removed a chimney from a old wood burning stove that was no longer in the basement, the old owners removed the stove and left  this stainless steal, rusted pipe going thru the side of the house and thru the roof.  When we got the roof replaced, removing this chimney, left a 12in hole in our brick. We tried finding brick but the brick we have is no longer made so we called Mike at Jen-Chris Company. He was the first person to come out and give an estimate and also was the cheapest. He was going to match the brick the best he could. Once talking to him again after we decided to hire him he asked if we had brick anywhere else on the house that would always be covered.  We ended up taking brick from under the deck to replace the brick on the side of the house. I can't believe we never thought of that.  It looks great. You can't even tell there was a hole there. I am very happy with the work.

The salesman was very flexible and willing to work with our schedule. We wanted to be home while the work was being performed. They arrived on time to perform the work and were very professional the entire time they were here. They took the time to explain the different options available to us. All the tuck pointed was done to match existing mortar. They re-laid some old bricks to compensate for a large gap that was created from a rusted lintel. The worst cracked bricks were replaced. Mortar and or caulk was carefully applied over existing lintels. We are very happy with the craftsmanship as well as the overall appearance of our hose afterwards. The contractor returned after the weekend to clean the exterior bricks. We will definitely call them again in the future to replace the remaining lintels.

Our chimney's tuck pointing was falling apart.  We had a bid from another contractor last year for $23,000 to re-build the chimney.  I called Jen-Chris and one other company... Mike at Jen-Chris came and gave me a bid... I also asked him if they could do some concrete repair on our porch.  Their bid came in less than half of the original bid, and it included repair to our porch.  The workers were very professional and neat, and they completed the job in a very timely manner.  We were 100% satisfied with their work.

Project was completed on budget and within about one week after the actual work started. Quality of work was excellent and the company pressure cleaned the final surface as an extra bonus after our discussions about possible future painting/staining. Workers were very personable, informative, professional and very hard workers (no screwing around - all business.) Punctuality was rated a bit low here only because it appeared to be difficult to get here from day to day due to the time of the year that we did this project (late Oct.) Most concrete repair firms scramble at this time to complete work before the season ends, so some patience is required when scheduling such a project. We contacted several companies at the time of quote, and some said no, others never called. Actual quote from Jen-Chris took 3 weeks to get and work started about 2-3 weeks after acceptance of quote. I have recommended this company to others since the work was completed.
