Dwelling Renovations did an excellent job on our recent condo renovation. During the renovation we lived overseas. Having Matt as our GC was a huge relief. They tore out walls, reconstructed bathrooms, did electrical work, and found innovative solutions when unforeseen obstacles arose. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for major or minor remodels or other construction work.

The six week project went very very well. They included EVERYTHING in the original bid (except things I added later. There were no surprises in the work they did. All three partners participated in different parts of the project as needed. They were always timely, kept me informed as much as reasonably possible. Someone described them as "anal" in their attention to detail. That should be considered a compliment! I watched various times. The discovered that the ceiling heights differed in different parts of three rooms. They also found one floor joist that was wrong. They used their laser level to add 2x4s above and to adjust the floor so the new cabinets would fit exactly. When the new cabinets arrived they took the time to make certain that every one was vertically and horizontally level. That meant that the granite counter top measurement was effortless. It also means the countertops are now level! One sub-contractor was problematical but Dwelling minimized the impact and we reached an amicable agreement.
Several people said the project would not be completed on time (it was -- except for my additions) and on budget (it was -- except for my additions). Even the additional items were performed on or ahead of the schedule they estimated.
They minimized the construction "dust" and cleaned up the work area everyday.
I have had visitors who have said: "You have a new house" and they are correct. Thanks Kevin, Matt and Jason!

FANTASTIC! These people are not only superb technicians, they have the sensibilities of artists and look at the way details fit together. If they see a structural problem, they let you know immediately and give options for change. My attic remodel went smoothly, including the subs they recommended. Price quote was reasonable and they stuck to it. The project ultimately received a silver NARI award. I intend to use them for all further work on my home and/or garage.

Overall we had a great experience with Kevin, Matt and Jay! First and foremost they were a breeze to work with, very professional, very communicative, were here, on time, everyday (did quite a bit of the work themselves - demo, build, window, siding, roofing) and when they were not, told us exactly when it would be, why, and for how long. They were competitive during the bid process and made adjustments with subcontractors, and us, to get the winning bid. We started the process in August and they ended in November - just a few weeks off of the original schedule. They brought in sub-contractors for the foundation, plumbing, hvac, electrical, masonry and drywall work. We brought in our own tile layer, painter and did some other work ourselves - which they offered advice on when we asked. When there were issues that came up with the sub-contractors (and there always will be) Kevin handled them and kept the lines of communication as open as possible. He was also responsible for the contract, the change orders, the invoicing and overall management of the project. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do an addition or remodel.

When we first had them provide an estimate, it was about fifty percent more than we wanted to spend, so we went back and forth for three weeks, shaving off costs as much as we could. The guys from Dwelling were very agreeable and didn't try to up-sell us. It still ended up being a major chunk of money, and so it is easy to wonder if we got our money's worth...the end product is great, but of course we wish it cost less. They arrived for every work day when they said they would, bright and early. They were easy to reach by phone and email. They are all-around nice guys. Perfect example: we had our first child while they were working on our project, and they bought us a baby present.

These were young guys that were very energetic. They did a very very good job. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They did a great job of cleaning up. For everything they did, the price was good. We would use them again in the future if we needed to.
