Excellent. Love the technicians at the desk and Dr. Poetzel is kind, informative, and direct. He doesn't try to do unnecessary charges. He also gave sound advice in training our corgi. Love him!!

We did not understand what was going on with her. It was a horrendous process & the medical people at Lakeshore provided knowledge & compassionate care. Sadly, we also learned the seizures may last her life. It has been 5 months & she still has them. Lakeshore told us a copy of our visit to them would be in Kewaskum Vet. Clinic by the next morning - & it was.

Despite the sadness I feel, the folks at Lakeshore were outstanding! They made a quick diagnosis, clearly explained the situation and provided the guidance I needed to make the right decision. The comfort and care they offered was unbelievable. I would recommend the clinic to anyone.

My pet was given good care. She was examined promptly, I was given the vet's opinion, and as usual there was good follow up with my regular vet.

Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists are also very, very good. It cost more than my first new car. He has a skin disorder which was the reason he got the blockage, now he has to get this expensive medicine and special food which is probably going to cost me as much as my second new car. That is exorbitant for veterinary specialists services. Besides the cost, the services are very, very good. I would rate them 'A's for all categories but not for cost.

Once the diagnosis was confirmed they gave me several options for treatment or non treatment. They were very professional and did not push expensive treatment plans. Basically stated that they would support me and dog with whatever decsision we made. We decided to opt for surgery based a a good prognosis.
They provided a low cost number and a high cost number.
Met with surgeon and scheduled a date and went over all the pros and cons, what-ifs and possible scenarios.
Day of surgery dropped off dog and required to pay the low cost number prior to surgery.
Was contacted by surgeon after ultra sound with results and recommendations of whether to proceed with surgery or not. It was a go.
Several hours later surgeon contacted me again to updat me that dog was out of surgery and how things went and look for the future.
Dog stayed overnight for monitoring.
Lakeshore called me in the morning and reported on how dog was doing and that I could pick her up anytime.
Went to pick up dog and met with technician to go through all discharge procedures and follow up treatment plans, medications, etc. They were very thorough and clear and answered all questions promptly.
Went to counter to check out and pay in full and they stated that they owed me a credit of several hundred dollars as costs came in below low cost estimate.
WHEN DOES THAT HAPPEN!!!??
To say the least I was very pleased in the overall experience at Lakeshore.

I needed to find a place my dog could do rehab after having major knee surgery to ensure success of her recovery. LVS has an amazing rehab program that includes under water treadmill, acupuncture, laser therapy, etc. Dr. Lugenbill, Shannon and Drew are amazingly patient and kind. Lola has major anxiety issues, but within a couple of weeks she gladly trotted into the room to do her exercises due to the patience of the staff. We went to rehab 2 times per week for 7 weeks. Some sessions were strictly treadmill training and others were a full hour session including acupuncture, laser therapy, treadmill and an assessment by Dr Lugenbill. I was given exercises (stretching, walking up hills, body adjustments) to do with Lola at home as well. I was amazed at how the initial assessment was very similar to my PT assessment after I had surgery. They looked at Lola's deficiencies and difference in muscle mass due to the surgery and targeted rehab to address these issues. By the time rehab was 3/4 done, Lola's muscle mass and leg usage was equal on each side. Lola is now walking for 45 minutes with no issues. I'm continuing to increase her walking time so we can go hiking longer distances this fall. I am very grateful to Dr. Lugenbill, Shannon and Drew for their dedication to helping my Lola get back to normal activities. In addition, those that work at the front desk are very pleasant. I couldn't be happier with my experience at LVS.

We have almost 5 y.o. Airedale female, who was diagnosed with rectal carcinoma. And that's when we got reffed to this clinic to see specialists there. So far we are very happy with the care we are receiving there, and are going for a surgery for our dog tomorrow. We saw two doctors there - Dr. Reiman, the oncologist, and Dr. Klose, Internal Medicine. And both of them were always very professional and knowledgeable.
Dr. Klose did a colonoscopy for our dog, and spent all the time we needed to explain in the details the results and tests needed, would answer tons of our questions, was always straight forward explaining the costs and etc. He would always follow up too, and would do what he promised, never forgets anything. Like I mentioned before - we are greatly impressed.
We have good expectations about the surgery too, because the facility looks well equipped and well maintained.
I can't comment on the emergency services - luckily we didn't need those so far. But if your dog has some serious health issue - I would highly recommend their specialists.

We noticed a large lump on my cats side on a Sunday morning, when our vet was closed. They recommended Lakeshore for emergency services. Since we thought it may be life-threatening, I called Lakeshore. They said I could bring her in right away. They took some information over the phone and had the forms printed up when we got there. We only waited about 5 minutes before we were taken to a room. The vet was in not long after, did an exam, and recommended x-rays. About 20 minutes later she showed us the x-rays and gave a diagnosis. She told us our options for an ultra sound there or just wait and see our family vet, and assured us it was not life threatening. They told us what to look for in case she got worse and to call them with any questions. The diagnosis was confirmed by our vet. Everyone at Lakeshore was absolutely fabulous...friendly, caring, and professional. Although the cost was not cheap for an emergency visit, I feel it was entirely worth it and wouldn't hesitate to go to them again.

My dog had been receiving rehabilitation treatment (acupuncture, laser therapy, hydrotherapy, and range of motion exercises) at the Silver Spring location for torn ligaments in his legs. The staff, led by Dr Luginbill, is outstanding. They are clearly experts and animal lovers.
We went to the Oak Creek location for emergency services, and found out my dog had a tumor in his heart that burst. The vet was exceedingly compassionate and discussed everything (processes and cost) with me in detail. We had to put him to sleep, and the team was very caring. They tried to ensure his comfort, brought him on a cart into a private room for me to spend as much time as I wanted with him, asked if I wanted to be with him when he received the shot (I did), and left me to hug him and cry privately. They also made ink paw prints and a clay paw print.
There was a discrepancy in the cost of services, which they corrected immediately.
I wish they offered general veterinary care.

My cat had to have emergency surgery and he had to have allergy medication. It was quite an involved procedure. Except the fact that this kind of service is costly but I can't say they are more costly than anybody else. Their service was fantastic. We want our own doctors to be that nice; they were caring, thorough and attentive. I can't complain about them at all. They are specialists and their cost was not out of line in any way. They were great with responsiveness. When I called they got back to me really quickly. When I've needed to pick up additional medication or some special food for him it was always available. We are still using them and we wouldn't hesitate to use them.

After having spent a lot of time & money this year trying to figure out what was going on with our dog we went to Lakeshore Veterinary. We found out that the Silver Spring location in Glendale allowed non-emergency consultations with their Internal Medicine Vet. Too bad we didn't know this sooner. It was a very good experience. He spent so much time in evaluating and guiding us on our options for our dog. He was very caring. He helped is come up with an idea on how to best manage our dog's GI issues and what to do if things do not resolve. We felt very confident in him and would absolutely return in the future if needed. They even called a few days later to inquire how our dog was doing which is something we haven't experienced before. E xcellent and worth the consultation. Our dog is doing really well and we feel confident in how to proceed .

WOW! From my first inquiry phone call through to the follow up note, these professionals were superb! Everyone (receptionists, techs, doctors) was caring and understanding. They patiently listened to me while I explained his recent medical history (our regular vet's office was closed). Many doctors would not do so. The doctors were realistic with the viability of treatment options, factoring in his age and cost/benefit; and everything was explained to me in a way so that I understood. Each doctor phoned with an update at the end of their shift. They kept him going for those minutes until we could get there to say goodbye. Later that day they sent a condolence card along with handmade cards with his paw prints.
They sent him to Paris Pet Crematory for cremation. Out of the 3 pets I've had cremated in WI, this one blew the others out of the water. When I picked him up, I received a handled boutique bag. Inside was a velvet pouch. In the pouch was a tin with paw prints all over it. Inside the tin was the bag of ashes carefully wrapped in tissue paper (also with a paw print design). That shows great thoughtfulness of a grieving pet owner.
The B rating on price is because I suspect their prices are the going rate for such services. Earning an A would mean no sticker shock - an event that will never happen with veterinary services.

Called around looking for facility that was open after 7pm on weekday. Found Lakeshore Vet open and close by. Took puppy in and had him examined. The price I was quoted was the price I paid. I would use them again in an emergency sitiuation.
