My wife made the call. Sent a photo of the shower unit and received the quote. I was skeptical and had questions. I also believe peach will make a comeback. All questions were answered, the work was completed in a day and the end product looks great. It’s only been two weeks but the coating seems very durable. The shower already had a non slip surface that reflected through the coating, so we saved a few dollars by not needing the added non-slip surfacing which is a must have.

It looks great! Slight issue with finish and Dan came out right away and fixed the issue and it looks perfect. I would like to note that the issue was probably on my end and not Dans, as my bathroom was pretty dusty. He was very pleasant to work with.

It's only been a few weeks and the tub looks great so I hope it holds up past a 5 year warranty. The tub was in pretty fair condition but the color was yellow. We had it changed to white. We hired a plumber to do some work and he remarked we got a new tub. He was surprised it was reglazed and said it is one of the best jobs he has ever seen. Dan was very easy to work with and very responsive. We also had no slip option put on for an extra charge. Total charge was approx $460 (including the travel charge).

Dan was phenomenal - he ground down the rust and filled in the section around the drain, and did an exemplary job. Our tub looks absolutely brand new.

Originally had the tub reglazed by another service provider approx 5 years ago.  Unfortunately, due to a mishap with hair dye, had to have it re-glazed again.  In this case, prep went well.  However, Dan experienced some difficulty with the sprayer and ended up with paint runs in the new finish.  Dan made a follow-up appointment for 2 days later to sand out the runs and re-spray the affected areas.  Tub definitely looks better than it did before the work started but overall, I'm not as happy with the finish this time around due to what appears to be some uneven application.   I commend Dan for his professionalism and for his courtesy.  He was easy to work with.

Very pleased! The lady who owned the house before me painted the tub herself. It was a nasty mess. I only showered because I didn't want to sit in the tub. They returned my call within the day and were able to come out in a day or two. Very polite, professional, and wow did they do a great job. My icky bathtub looks great! Plus I now have a limited 5 year warranty on the surface. This is now a bathtub you would want to soak in.

I want to change my previous and quot;D'' grade to an A!

We had them spray our tub in Feb and then had him come back and spray our Half Bath sink and surrounding Tile in October. He was prompt in replies, and actually got us in the very next day.

Good job, thanks!

I was in a serious bind, trying to schedule a number of contractors in a very short time. The bathroom required FAR more work than expected, and I was running well over budget and out of time. Based on Angie's List reviews, I could tell Dan's prices were much better than the competition in this area, and he seemed to have a good reputation. After my first call to him, he got back to me quickly. And, despite an unexpected delay on my end (because I had no running water), Dan managed to rearrange his schedule to fit my job in when I know he was extremely busy.
The tub was actually too pitted and marred to completely repair, so he told me up front that he couldn't warranty it, but the tub looks great and the unit is ready to rent on time, so I'm happy.
I can't thank Dan enough for all his help. I highly recommend him.

The tub looked pretty good immediately after they coated it; however the surface was uneven, as they did not take the time to patch the uneven surface of our tub before coating it. However after a few weeks it started to peal away. They have since been out twice to and quot;patchand quot; the tub (which looks like the spray paint the areas white, literally with a can of white spray paint). Additionally the caulking around the tub has not held up for more than a few months either; I have had to redo this myself. The price was low and now I know why; they cut corners and the quality is poor as a result.
Response from Hughes Reglazing
"This customer's tub had damage from Drain-O or other chemical on the bottom of the tub. I explain to the customers that they will still be able to see the damage through the coating. This is what he mentions as the "unevenness". If they would have wanted it corrected it would have come with an additional charge which apparently they didn't agree to. Also what he calls "peeling" is clearly impact marks from some child's toy. These areas were tiny jagged holes through the coating. Even though the customer denied this fact we repaired the damage at no cost. I've continued to try to make this customer as happy as I possibly can."

Hughes came in and reglazed my lime green bath tub. I chose Hughes strickly on price. They were a couple hundred dollars cheaper than any other quotes i had. The first time they sprayed there were drips/runs in the glaze. They also over sprayed on my brand new tile. It came off with a good cleaning but was irritating. I did some work to the drain in the tub and chipped the glaze. Hughes came out for free and fixed the drips and the chip for free.
Hughes was easy to work with and very reasonable.
I sold the house soon after and so can not say how well the glaze wore.

We needed a repair to close / cover two small holes in a fiberglass / acrylic (not sure what the material is) shower stall unit. Hughes didn't show up to do the work the first time; when called and reminded, did stop on another day to do the work. However, the material used to repair the holes (each approximately 1and quot; in diameter) did not match the color of the shower stall unit. It doesn't look good.
Response from Hughes Reglazing
"This is the second repair that we have done for the customer. He was aware that our color Kohler biscuit does not match the fiberglass material exactly on the first appointment. This is the first I have heard of his dissatisfaction with our work. If it was mentioned I would have been happy to go back prepared to custom mix a color to more closely match. As for the appointment scheduling that was my fault. I wasn't in the office when I took his information down and then misplaced it. I usually put the information directly into the main schedule and couldn't at the time. Sir if you are reading this please call and I'll be back this week with a few other colors to see if I can get it to match a little better."

They were quick and professional. Setup fans to keep fumes down to a minimum. they kept my house clean as the removed finish and applied new finish. It has been over a 1.5yrs and the tub still looks great. Before I had this done I would put my kids in the bath and was about to gut the entire bathroom so I could actually use it as a bathtub. It kept its old classic feel and looks great for a lot less time and money. I anticipate it to help in resale.
