Your local transmission and driveline service experts since 1981! Conveniently located in Germantown, just minutes from the Milwaukee metro area. Our cutting-edge facility offers automotive repair and service for all cars and trucks, Import, Domestic, or European. Our technicians and specialists can perform all types of auto repairs. We also specialize in high performance transmissions, torque converters, and components, and repair for classic and custom cars. Experts in diesel truck transmission repair, upgrades, and our own line of torque converters, including high performance. Our facility sits on a large lot with 10,000 square feet of repair shop under one roof. We have a total of 18,000 square feet, 13 employees, and our own in-house machine shop. Ample on site parking is available in our lot. Additional Services: Shipping to all of the United States of America, and some International customers.

Friendly helpful staff. Only fixed what needed fixing. My car was in and out of the shop in a couple of days and is running perfectly. Estimate below includes tow.

!They were great! They were fast, curteous, and accurate. I took my car to the GMC Acadia dealership multiple times and they never fixed the vehicle correctly. I always believed in going back to the dealer. Now I know different. It's been almost a year and my transmission is still kicking!!!! Thanks for all of your hard work and professionalism!

I had my transmission replaced in Oct 2014, and was very happy with the services that they provided. I was told to come back and have the transmission reinspected after about 2 weeks of driving to keep my warranty in tact, but i failed to do so. In June we realized we had some transmission leakage going on, and when my husband called DJ's to see if we could still be covered under warranty they obliged and told us to bring her in.
Was very impressed with them honoring our warranty even though we failed to hold up our end of the bargain. Also, very impressed with the staff and professionalism displayed!
Would use you guys again in a heartbeat!

Per the recommendations on Angie's list, I took my daughters '93 4runner in and was a little nervous about what I would hear. I had heard horror stories about old fluid being changed and significant charges in these older vehicles. After explaining to Scott the situation (not knowing the condition as we bought it well used) he drove the vehicle and performed the service with confidence explaining what he did and why. I will be back for service on our other vehicles.

They took the car and performed numerous tests, and took it on test drives. Their conclusion - don't waste your money on a rebuild at this time. Yes, those were signs of transmission slipping, but it could likely go a much longer time before you really need to have the transmission serviced, the problem is very minor and extremely intermittent. No charge, and they had the car for 3 days, running tests. Very professional, honest. Excellent communications.

My transmission went out after the rough winter months, it was jerking, I did not know what was wrong. I went to Automatic transmission, they identified the problem and did the repair, I thought I was going to need a new transmission, but they were able to rebuild some parts, and fix my problem, I saved $$$$$, it's good when you can find an honest mechanic, I will use them again if need.

SPEAKING WITH CHARLIE IS WHAT SOLD ME ON USING ATD. I HAD WENT TO A LOT OF TRANS SHOP EXPLAINING WHAT I WANTED BUT NO ONE WAS WILLING TO GO INTO THE DETAILS OF WHAT THEY DO ON THERE REBUILDS AND WHY THEY DO WHAT THEY DO. CHARLIE WAS WILLING TO ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS AND ALSO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY CERTIAN PARTS ARE REPLACED AND WHY THEY USE A PARTICULAR BRAND OR PRODUCT. THE REBUILD WENT WELL AND ONCE IT WAS COMPLETE THEY DYNO TESTED THE TRANS WITH THE NEW CONVERTOR TO MAKE SURE IT ALL WORKED. I INSTALLED THE TRANS IN MY CAR ABOUT 2 MONTH AGO AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH SHIFT QUALITY,OR SLIPPAGE OR PERFORMANCE EVERYTHING SEEM TO BE OKAY AND THE CONVERTOR THAT WAS SUPPLIED SEEMS TO BE WORKING AS IT SHOULD AND AT THERE ADVICE THE PLATE STYLE TRANS COOLER THAT I INSTALLED IS ALSO WORKING VERY WELL KEEP THE TRANS COOL.

REBUILT TRANSMISSION OF MY CAR (DIDN'T USE ANOTHER REBUILT TRANSMISSION) AND KEPT ME APPRAISED THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS. TOTAL OF 3 WORKING DAYS. SEEMS TO SHIFT SMOOTHER NOW THAN ORIGINAL FACTORY INSTALL. VERY PLEASED WITH WORK AND EXPLAINED THINGS IN DETAIL.
