All American Window and Door Co. is family owned and operated for 40 years! We sell, install, and service custom-made windows: bay, bow, casement, double hung, sliding, and special shape; along with patio doors, entrance doors, storm doors, insulated siding and roofing. It was fine. Just one of the guys refused to wear masks, while the other two did. I called the company and told them. They made him work outside. But they did a great job.

After comparing a few different window companies and types of windows we decided to use All American Window & Door Co to replace a large complex custom window. They helped us review the different options we had and we agreed on a new design. They clearly explained the process and the timeline. They were extremely knowledgeable and took extra efforts to make sure the installation was done correctly and prevent leakage issues like we had with the old windows. They worked with us to make sure we were happy and very responsive to any concerns that we had. The crews that came out to our house were very were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional and actual company employees and not sub-contractors. They cleaned up after themselves and were very personable. When we found a manufacturing defect in one of the windows they were prompt to address it and the manufacturer provided a replacement. We were so happy with them we had them replace some additional casement windows in our basement as well. We are planning to use them again when we build a new house and we would highly recommend using them.

BOTH WINDOWS WERE REPLACED. REPLACING ONLY ONE WOULD NOT BE CORRECT. OPTIONS WERE DISCUSSED AND A 2 UNIT WAS INSTALLED. THE WINDOWS WERE ORDERED FROM THEIR SUPPLIER AND INSTALLED BY ALL AMERICAN'S OWN SUPPLIERS. WORKMANSHIP WAS EXCELLANT AND APEARANCE FROM OUTSIDE AND INSISIDE WAS PERFECTION. DID NOT SHOP AROUND FOR OTHER PRICES AS QUOTED PRICE SEEMED OK TO ME AND I WAS IMPRESSSED BY THEIR COORDINATION.

Great experience! We had some questions after using our new windows for about a week. Their service department scheduled an appt. at our convenience and addressed all our function questions. Furthermore they checked the other windows to be sure we were satisfied.

The product is horrible quality. It was in winter. We had installers outsourced by All American to come out to our house in the morning and were told they were finishing the day off because they lived too far away. So they started a bit later than I would have thought they should have if they wanted to leave day off. They stayed all day and had to put a spotlight on the work when it got dark. They were rushed and didn't even caulk the bottom of our windows. We called and they company came to caulk. After the fact, reviewing the job they did they put CLEAR caulking on the bottom when the rest all around had dark brown, so they had to redo the caulking by just going over the top of the clear. Just a shooty job all around. Then it gets cold and we start to see ice forming all along where the windows were locking. I could even feel air coming through! We called and they came out to the house to adjust them. Still nothing worked. They came again and said it was normal and it's because of the air circulation. Wrong. I feel air coming through and it is not even seal because they were all put in in a rush and not fitted properly. Junk service. Junk windows. I even took pictures every year to prove the ice build up. Our old windows were better quality even if a few didn't even stay up, and we lost too much viewing space as a result which I guess is typical with replacement windows.

"This review was written 7.5 years after installation for a home they don't live in anymore. The products consisted of 9 double hungs, 4 large sliding windows and 1 triple sliding window. The installation was scheduled for one day, Tuesday, December 18, 2007 (within the customer's schedule, knowledge and permission to work late) because they wanted it for Christmas. On Wednesday December 26, 2007 the husband left a message to say windows felt drafty and had condensation. Our technician went there Wednesday, January 3, 2008 (we were closed during Christmas and New Years). Adjustments were made to the windows, service parts were ordered and caulk was redone in spots. On January 28, 2008 the new parts were installed and caulking was redone. All of our communication was done with the husband only but Mrs. wrote this review. The excessive condensation on the windows is a direct result of excessive humidity in a home. The matter was turned over to the manufacturer for their Technical Services Department to inspect and address (which they did). The customer only dealt with the manufacturer then and refused to speak with us further."

This company was recommended to us by a relative an we were able to inspect the work which was done to satisfaction. They were happy with the service.
Our initial sales call with Ben went well. We gathered a number of other quotes and decided on All-American. However, when it came time for our appointment to order the door Ben showed up early in the middle of dinner and was very rude about it. He said "Oh well, you don't need to eat dinner anyways" and implied that if we didn't take his visit at that time we would have to reschedule. The price also came out to $500 more than we were initially quoted even though we did not make any substantial changes in the door that we chose. It seems that the initial quote must have been in error.
The door installation seemed to go well. However, upon closer inspection we discovered a number of issues. First, they put up white trim with finishing nails but did not caulk or paint the holes. So, we had to do that ourselves. Second, they left raw unfinished wood on a surface inside our home near a surface that might get wet when people step over the threshold. We had to call them back to have them finish that piece, but it was still not cut straight and so is a cosmetic (but no longer functional) issue. They also were very sloppy with the (white) caulk they used on the metal threshold. They should have used clear caulk and been much more careful not to slop it on the metal. My husband is going to have to try to fix that come spring. Finally, there was an imperfection in the painted surface of the door itself. I understand that it came from the manufacturer that way (and they did come out and fix it eventually) but All American should have inspected the door and fixed it (or sent it back to the manufacturer) before they even installed it.
If they had handled the situation better it might have helped. However, I felt like they did the absolute bare minimum to fix the issues after we filed a formal complaint with their customer service department. There were no follow-up phone calls after the remediation was done, to make sure we were satisfied. Overall, I cannot recommend All-American to anyone based on the experience we had.

"The salesman arrived at the scheduled time. The extra $500 pricing was for a storm door they added to the order. Our contract paperwork states that we don't fill nail holes. The unfinished piece of wood was a floor stick added by the threshold at installation. Contract paperwork states the piece isn't stained because customers often want to stain it their flooring color. The white caulk was on the outside threshold by the white aluminum trim. The installation was October 30, 2014. The customer emailed us after the installers left to say there was a blemish on the sidelite. Customer refused our appointment time on November 4. On November 7, 2014 our Technician went out to adjust the door, stain the floorstick and inspect the sidelite. It was determined to be residue. The manufacturer cleaned up the residue on November 17, 2014. All of their issues we handled timely and completed within 17 days!!!"

Guys were great from estimator (who loves shooting the breeze) to installers (one of which served on the same ship as me). There were two small issues that got immediate attention from the company. Didn't want to write this review until I experienced some varying weather. I did and I couldn't be more happy!

Benjamin Lodwick the sales manager did a great job explaining the options that I had in replacing my current windows. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase during his presentation.
When Benjamin was at my home he noticed that my patio door window had a "seal failure". My older patio doors were replaced by All American Window and Door Co. in 2005. I didn't even realize that the patio door was still under warranty. My door was repaired at no charge (the service charge was dropped) since technicians were scheduled to install the windows.
From start to finish All American did a great job. The installation went smoothly and the technicians took their time, explained how to care for the windows, and left a clean job site.
