He painted the room, he did a bad job. I had him come back and do it again. With the second painting, he lifted the carpet in a room full of wet paint. Messed up paint, had to paint a third time. Still not a good paint job. The carpet was lifted, because when my dog was young it soiled the room. He told me the floor would be rotted. They ripped the floor of 1" maple, there were no stains that made it to the wood. It was on the outermost layer. When he put down laminate, he wrecked my floor by gluing on a non-glue floor. I demanded his presence, he came back and asked if I was going to cover the floor. The glue prevented it from locking, but didn't prevent it from rising. The wood floor has risen all over the place. I have stubbed my feet on the edges, my dog trips on the edges. He ruined my house and ruined my floor. Getting the floor fixed: $3,000. He basically destroyed the materials of $500 that I bought. The instructions stated "NO GLUE FLOOR" and he put in glue.
