I couldn’t be happier with the Dunlap team! My tree job was as challenging as it comes, and they knocked it out of the park. Pricing, communication, lead time, etc. all exceeded my expectations! I wouldn’t hesitate to hire or recommend them for any jobs in the future.

Exceeded expectations. Finished work very fast. cleaned up afterward. Hard working crew. very knowledgeable. Removed many dead pines, and other trees. stump removal as well. Even pruned dead branches from an ornamental crab apple tree. Would not use anyone else after this last job. Great customer service.

They did a good job, though they could have ground the stumps down much farther. The price was way below other tree-removal services, but that is at least partly because they don't appear to insure their workers. I was told by the village to make sure the company we hired showed us their certificate of insurance. I asked a number of times to see it and was told they would e-mail me a copy. On the day the service was done, my husband asked again, and the guy phoned his office and asked the person there to send us an e-mail copy. It never happened. Of course, we were anxious to get those trees out to start on the next phase of our landscaping project, and the guys were here, and the price was right... But I didn't appreciate being lied to, and I'm just very happy that no one was injured while they were here.
I understand that this is a small business and that insurance is expensive. I just wish the guy had been honest with me. I should have been more adamant about seeing the certificate before scheduling the work.

Proof of insurance is sent to the customer directly from our insurance provider; we give them your information and they send it to you. Unfortunately, there have been times when an email address or fax number was entered incorrectly; by the time we know, the job is done. You are right, we are a small business. I, the owner, do all estimating, billing, etc. I apologize if we have appeared to be unprofessional, but that is certainly not my intent. The quality of our work is my main focus. Chris and his crew did a great job, and their price was WELL below their competitors'. I was advised to see proof of insurance before the job was started; Chris assured me he would email me this and never did. I would not recommend them to friends, simply because I never saw proof of insurance.

The entire process was great from to finish. Mr. Dunlap was one of three bids we considered for tree removal. He came out on time and inspected the trees and told us his price. We agreed on a date and time for the trees to be cut down. He came out with his crew on time, cut down the trees, ground down the stumps and cleaned up the debris.
