Shelley's Wallpapering

Tarry, Shelley's husband arrived on time. Complained about how difficult it was to get the wallpaper off and kept saying it was installed improperly (which it wasn't). We had a reputable company put the wallpaper up 18 years ago. He told my husband he would only finish the kitchen. I was unhappy that he would not finish the whole job, but after talking, I was okay with him finishing just the kitchen. He finished one and 1/2 walls, packed up his stuff and left without saying a word. He was suppose to be back the next day, and never showed up. So now I am left with a mess. My husband read online about using 409 and soaking it, and it came off pretty easily, but he doesn't have the time to do it. I am recovering from shoulder replacement surgery so I can't do it either. I have never experienced anything like this before. He came and looked at the project and wrote up a contract, so I assumed he knew what to do. To walk away without saying anything is beyond unprofessional. I was in the next room.
