Just horrible customer service. I had an issue with my daughters insurance, which would take 24 hours to clear up, and on the phone their receptionist said they could backdate her visit. After driving 45 minutes, they made us wait a half an hour...so they could check the insurance! I explained the issue multiple times, but they still insisted on calling the insurer, when they had already done that earlier. Really stupid. In fact, we have never felt like our concerns came first with them, just their payment. Will never go back.

Dr. AAron C. Holtebeck was excellent....getting a call back from his assistant for a needed eyelid surgery was another story, though. She was very polite, but obviously very busy assisting the doctor and handling appointments so it took a very long time for a call. I eventually cancelled the appointment for the surgery so can't comment on how that went. The doctor did give me an eye exam (plus eyelid). He was very professional and a very good listener and easy to talk to. The staff was excellent, performing tests etc.(not the call back part). The doctor eventually moved to another location.

Milwaukee Eye Care Associates were fine, no problem. They were good.

They said it is going to take like three hours, but it didn't. It took like no time at all. I went there and I got in right away. If it took an hour that was a lot. They explained everything to you and they were very thorough. There was nothing fantastic about them, but I would go again.

He is very knowledgeable. When my father was alive, my father had dementia and it's in a wheelchair, it was one of the few places that are wheel chaired accessible as far as the examination. A lot of times, you go with somebody in a wheelchair who can't transfer and there's no way for the person to examine him. Milwaukee has a room that the equipment is set up so that they can just push the chair away and the equipment can be used on somebody on a wheelchair. Believe me, it is hard to find and it doesn't exist for dental care. The person, who you can get a prescription, Eric, is also wonderful. He's been great. He has done above and beyond with my father.

I've been seeing Dr Saini for the past two years now.  I had a very early cataract - I'm in my early 30s!  He explained my situaion very well.  I was urged by another eye professonal to get cataract replacement in both my eyes even though my cataract was only needed in one eye.  Dr Saini strongly urged against it and explained his reasons -- he really made me feel like he was a family member looking after me.  After the surgery, which went super smoothly, I was so glad I didn't do both eyes.  I am super happy with the results - like he said cataract replacement is not a 100% cure, but a vast improvement.  I ended up with a multifocul lens because that's what my mother got - she lives in another town.  I am happy with it but i do have rings at night.  Dr Saini did warn me about that and I went with them anyway.  If I did it again I would still get a multifocal lens.  Since the surgery I had many follow up apointments with Dr Saini.  He's been very imformative through every step of the way. He is moving to a new practice and he will be very missed.

This visit: Both the technician and the OD speak at a level over 85 decibels (normal speech = 60.) OD never greeted me (and quot;I'm Dr Lindand quot; does not count) or called me by name. When I asked her what it was as we walked out she tried to read it from the chart. When I said: and quot; That's a problemand quot;, she said and quot;O I'm sorryand quot; without actually looking at me, pointedly looking away to talk with receptionist.
Manner throughout is very pompous and unfriendly. Instructions to participate in the exam were barked like orders by both tech and OD. In doing the and quot;is #1 or #2 better?and quot;, when I said and quot;about the sameand quot;, the OD said literally: NO, I asked which is BETTER, #1 or #2? Her advice is offered in the form of authoritarian pronouncements followed by a list of horribles, eye conditions and quot;and blindnessand quot;! that she sees and quot;all the timeand quot;. While the science of her observations was useful, she clearly was not interested in my question about it, spent 2 sentences on it, didn't ask if I understood it, and returned to her recitation of bad results. When asked how often such results actually occur, she was dismissive and when I observed that she seemed to wish to scare her patients, she said this was and quot;because she wants her patients to be informedand quot;.
The array of photos of eye conditions and diseases on her large open laptop (screensaver? :)) was certainly unpleasant to review while waiting, as was the graphic poster of eyes disassembled to illustrate their parts.
In ten + years as a patient, MKE Eye Care Associates has been a widely variable experience. For all the helpful encounters, there's a list of inexcusable, unacknowledged incidents, including
1) Trying to order lenses 3X, only to be told when I call for them that my faxed prescription never arrived (scrip was from former provider), so they refiled my chart. Third time I said and quot;I am faxing while I am on the phone with youand quot; and the technician did it again! In my follow-up call, apparently I was cut off by a monitoring service who told her to call me, make it right. They mailed the lenses but NEVER acknowledgement or apology. (This cannot be discounted as a subcontractor's bad behavior, they manage this aspect and presumably profit from it.)
2) Long unaccounted for waits -- sometimes over an hour! No estimates provided about how long it will be, no explanation of why. My husband bailed after one such visit.
3) The strangest bedside manners I've encountered. Tried this new OD because the prior one was so stiff and glum I didn't want to see him even every couple of years.
Something is really off about this organization, and I hope very few people experience it.

Dr. Weiss did not pressure me into purchasing glasses at their business. He informed me about their glasses when I asked about them. When I went to see what type of glasses they carried, the gentleman who did the fittings readily showed me different priced glasses. He also was kind enough to inform me that if I had the opportunity to wait until the following week, they were having a sale on the glasses I desired. I was pleased with this information and amazed he did not pressure me to buy right then and pay the higher price. All of the individuals I came in contact with at this office were friendly, professional and helpful. This was definitely wonderful experience and look forward with confidence to receive my new glasses.

Dr. Weiss has provided eye care for me for several years.  I have found him to be careful, competent and pleasant.  However, on my last visit, I experienced a reaction to the eye drops used to dilate my eyes.  Dr. Weiss offered helpful treatment suggestions to ameliorate the condition which was effective.  He indicated that recently the clinic had begun using a different eye drop solution.  In the future, he will use the drops used formerly which never caused me any problem.

It didn't turn out as well as it could have, but they've made corrections to resolve/improve the procedure. The results now are much better. I'm scheduled to have the other eye done soon.

He is an OD, and I think he does surgeries too.
He is very friendly and very knowledgeable.
My father sees him also. He is 88, has glaucoma, detached retina, can't hear and has dementia. He is wonderful with him, and my father isn't always easy to work with.
