Well he painted and had to re-paint because I did not like the color I had chosen. He then complained about the finish of the new paint I provided, which ended up being a disaster because even his professional painting was less than adequate. There were many missed spots and many areas where you can see brush marks going in all directions.
The bathroom remodel turned out to be a nightmare because he did not level the tub, put the tile up wrong, put the gasket in the tub in wrong, put the shower doors on backwards, put in the wrong plumbing for the tub into the basement, etc. I have now sent him a letter requesting that he or his insurance company reimburse me as I have someone else coming to tear apart and re-do this job the proper way. I would not hire him to do anything here again or recommend him. I trusted him when he told me he could do these other projects and I am the one suffering for trusting him. Had he been honest and told me the job was beyond the realm of what he could do, I would have gone elsewhere or not have done the project at that time. Instead, all the money I paid for fixtures, tub, tile, etc all has to be torn apart, and pay someone else to re-do.

Response from Mario's Painting
"We painted the interior of her house and the very next day repainted because she no longer lied the color she picked out. We then replaced 9 doors with 6 panel doors with no issues or complaints. Then tiled bathroom and remodeled the other. When we finished, she was so happy she gave us a $100 gift card. I think she just changed her mind like she did with the colors she picked."

He brought two people to help with the painting; one did not speak English. During the course of the first day of painting, the person that did not speak English broke a Stiffel lamp in my bedroom and did not let me the homeowner know about it. I first found out about the damaged lamp and shade after they left when I went to turn the light on in the room and found it was inoperable.
The project went from painting in the house to replacing the interior doors to 6-panel oak doors and then the remodeling of the main bathroom.
Most days he was to arrive at 8am and at the beginning he was very timely, but then often times he would show up late. On the days when he needed an extra set of hands to help bring supplies into my house from the garage, he did not always come with the help and would leave for the day, not finishing what was intended to be done. On one day in particular, he was sweeping in my garage as I had to run an errand while he was working here, and when I got back instead of him working in the house, he was sweeping. He said he couldn't find someone to help him bring the tub into the house. I ended up calling someone to help him so the work could progress as we were without a shower/tub in the house while this project was continuing.
He installed 8 of the 9 doors incorrectly and I had to hire someone else to come back and re-do. The doors after he left did not close properly and I found that he had cut my carpeting around the woodwork to try and fit some of the moldings back in place.
He put in the tub with tile around it, but did not use cement board behind the tiles, which is now causing a lot of trouble with leaking and damage to the drywall surrounding the tub area as well as leaking under the tiles on the floor and showing the grout areas wet after each shower.
The whirlpool tub after each use, leaks into the basement.
I had him come back several times to fix the leaks, only to find more after he left. I have since had many people come back to try and fix what he did, but now it's to the point that we have to hire someone to tear out and completely re-do as all other repairs were just becoming Band-Aids to a bigger problem.

They were very hands-on, very responsive. They came out right away and basically, I think it was Mario and his son or son-in-law, worked around the clock to get what they promised us to get done done.
