Jeff was absolutely phenomenal! He was prompt, responsive, and easy to work with. His pricing was reasonable and the workmanship is top-notch. He cleaned up well after he was completed. Our accent wall looks better than we had hoped. We are looking forward to having him back for our next tile project.

Jeff Adair, the owner, was very prompt in returning my first phone call inquiring about services. He was able to come and give me an estimate the next business day, and was able to do the work within 2 1/2 weeks. His price was extremely reasonable. He finished the work in a day and a half. The result if wonderful, it looks great. He was very pleasant to work with, kept me apprised of the status of the job and kept good communication. Highly recommend.

Jeff removed several layers of old flooring and leveled the floors of our 80 year old kitchen. He cut tiles outside and cleaned up his work area each day. He made suggestions about the best way to make transitions from the tile floor to other floors in adjoining rooms. The tile job is very well done and afterward he assisted in fitting the refrigerator under a kitchen cabinet. The new floor was slightly higher than the old floor, so we had to modify the cabinet face.

Jeff did an awesome job on the install .. I'm OCD and everything has to be perfect and perfect it is .. the tile looks great the work area was all cleaned up and the price quoted was the price paid . Jeff installed a slate tile backsplash behind our sink and stove and we have been very pleased. He answered our request for a quote promptly, and advised us over the phone of tile companies nearby to us that he frequently uses and at which we could take advantage of his provider discount. We selected the tile we wanted before he came out for a quote, and he was able to give us an exact amount on site. He was also able to squeeze us into his calendar earlier so that the backsplash would be finished before a family gathering we were hosting.

Jeff arrived on time and ready to work and was finished within 2 days. It looks great and we get compliments on our backsplash all the time. I would use Cream City Tile again for future projects.

Jeff responded very quickly and visited us to survey the work to be done in the master bath. He provided a quote within a week and his price was very reasonable. We accepted and Jeff started work on a Monday by ripping out the old tile down to the studs in the bathtub area. He insured that the walls were squared and installed the cement board in the tub area. He also removed the toilet and the vinyl tile we had on the floor. Cement board was also installed on the floor of the master bath.  The next day Jeff proceeded to install the ceramic tile in the bathtub area including two shelves. On the third day he completed the installation in the tub area and started the floor in the master bath. He finished 3/4's of the floor prior to leaving for the day. On the fourth and final day he completed the floor tile installation and grouted the tub and floor, caulked,  reinstalled the toilet, trimmed the door, installed the bathroom fixtures and completely cleaned the tub and floor area. He cleaned the bathroom and it was spotless when he left. Jeff is very knowledgeable and hard working. We are very happy with the work and would hire him again. We will recommend him to all our friends.

The young gentleman who installed the tile was prompt and did excellent work and cleaned up after. The job took about 3 days longer than the estimator (not the same person) told us. We found them through Home Depot in Lake Geneva which is where we bought the tile.
Response from Cream City Tile & Bath Remodeling
"THIS WAS NOT MY COMPANY THAT DID THIS WORK ... I work alone as estimator and contractor ...This company was most likely ' Cream city tub & tile ' , a tub refinishing contractor , who also does tile work . !"

Jeff did a great job tiling our new bathroom (shower area and floor). We were impressed with Jeff upon our first interaction. He promptly returned our inquiry call and arrived two days later to give us a very fair price estimate. He began the job 3-weeks after the bid and completed the job i in 3 1/2 days. We provided tile and materials and Jeff provided his skills and artistic talent. He did an excellent job with tile layout and craftsmanship.....simply wonderful! We also appreciated Jeff's calm demeanor - we just completed a major remodel project, all of which was a little stressful. We needed a calming presence to tackle this job. We will definitely use Jeff again!

Jeff was a no-nonsense professional. He quickly came out to provide a quote. He was able to do the install within two weeks. We love the results. If you want someone who knows what they're doing, doesn't mess around, gets to work and stays focused...Jeff is your guy! The tile work really adds class to the kitchen.

I called Jeff to estimate a small tile repair in the shower area. Jeff said that he could do the repair but that I had a bigger problem. I have an older home and when the clawfoot tub was replaced with a new tub and shower, ceramic tile was put over the plaster. Jeff said that the proper way to do the job would be to remove all tile and plaster down to the studs. He would then put up cementboard and new tile. This was confirmed by another contractor. When Jeff had done all of the demo work, he showed me that there was no insulation in the walls. He said that if I had some insulation (which I did) he would put it in for me!!!  Jeff did a very good job for me and I would not hesitate to use him again ( Jeff was also 33% cheaper than the other bids).

Jeff was a very good service provider. Even with a hiccup in old tile removal (which he said was a possibility) our end product is great and we could not be more pleased. Jeff stayed extra to compensate for the extra time required with the old tile removal.. We would use him again in a heartbeat and strongly encourage folks thinking about kitchen tile to use his company. I don't have time to waste and have no time for excuses. Jeff was none of that and it was great to have a job just plain done right.

Jeff is very responsive. He responded very quickly after I contacted him for an estimate. He came out and looked at the tub surround and was able to immediately give me a "bid sheet" which included a rough description of the price. His rates are very reasonable compared to the other quotes I received. We decided to go with him and set up a date to complete the work. He stated it would be a two day job which wasn't a big deal because we have a second bathroom.
All of the plumbing in the tub needed to be replaced, which I told Jeff, and he set up a plumber to come out, Jon Debelak Plumbing. I have also reviewed them.
Jeff did a good job. He worked quickly, ripping out the walls, shimming in cement board, installing cement board, installing and grouting the tile. Overall we were pleased with his work and are enjoying the new tub surround.
There were only a couple of sticking points. First, he only ripped out the walls up to where the previous tile ended. When we discussed the installation originally, I asked for the tile to go all the way to the ceiling. He agreed. I figured this meant he would install cement board up to the ceiling and tile on it. The top several rows of tile are just on the drywall that was there originally. The cement board is a little thinner than the drywall so there is a hump where the tile transitions from cement board to the drywall. It's not very noticeable, except that I know it's there. I blame this on myself and lack of communication.
The other thing was that he used a product called Mapei Kerr 909 mastic as an adhesive. He brought it with him and I did not know he was going to use this beforehand. After some research (unfortunately, after most of the work was done), I found that mastic is generally not the best product to use in wet areas such as a tub or shower since it can re-emulsify (basically soften) if regularly exposed to water. Thinset does not have this drawback since it consists of cement which hardens through a chemical process. Mastic gradually sets as water leaves it, which takes quite a while. The directions actually state to wait several weeks before using the material that has been tiled. If I had been a more informed consumer I would have insisted upon thinset.
We are hoping that water isn't able to penetrate the grout to soften the mastic but if it does Jeff will be the first person I call.
About a month after the installation we noticed water leaking through the floor and into the basement. I called Jeff, who was able to come out immediately. He was able to diagnose the situation and reduce it to a plumbing issue. He called the plumber who came out and fixed the problem.
Overall, we really enjoy the new tub surround.

Jeff Adair is a true professional and a true craftsman.  After doing thorough research on Angie's List, I decided to call Jeff for an estimate.  He called me back right away and we arranged a walk-through the following week.  He was prompt, took a lot of measurements and told me he'd get back to me within 2 days with the quote (which he did).  When he called with the quote, he explained that it would be a 7 day job (he works alone).  Because this is our only bathroom, this was going to present a challenge to our family (2 small children); however, I knew I wanted to hire him b/c I truly felt he would do an excellent job.  Also, he was able to start the job the following week, which is exactly what we wanted.
On the first day of the job, he realized it was a bigger project that he originally estimated, so he let us know it would be a 9 day job, instead of 7.  It was good to know that right away on the first day.  Also, there was an issue with the plumber not being able to come the first day (she got hung up on another job), but he was in constant contact with me letting me know these developments as they occurred (I was at work).
Most of the work was done while we were not home.  I felt 100% comfortable giving Jeff access to our home.  He made sure to clean out the tub every day when he was done so that we could take baths.  He called me on my cell if he had questions.  I left him notes in the morning if I had questions, and he would call and answer them right away.  He was very clean (he swept and removed all garbage at the end of each day).  For part of the job, we were going to be out of town (for a 3 day weekend).  He planned his work so that he would remove the toilet and install the floor while we were gone, which minimized the inconvenience to our family, and I greatly appreciated that.  We were actually glad he was working on our home while we were away, b/c we felt that we had a trustworthy person watching over our home.

Jeff sometimes stayed until 6:30 or 7:00 pm working b/c he always said he "wanted to get to a certain point."  As I stated above, he also came in on a Saturday.  He is one of the hardest workers I have ever met.  He kept his saw in our garage, which is on the lower floor of our home.  So every time he had to cut tile, he had to go down the steps and then come back up....probably 50 times a day!   I joked with him that he was getting quite a work-out at our home.
Our bathroom now looks amazing!  He did such an excellent job!  Another reviewer stated that he is a perfectionist...the best in his field...and I completely agree.  He comes from a family of flooring and tile installers, so it's obviously in his blood.  He is prompt, ethical, honest, hard-working and very detail-oriented.   And, to top it all off, he's reasonable!  If there's a way to attach photos of my bathroom before and after, I will.  But if I can't, you'll just have to trust me that it's beautiful!  You will be elated with your results if you hire Jeff!
