a few years now, and is holding up very very well.
The issue was with the installation and the installer Bill and his team...
We had several locations where there where "bumps" under the floor. I asked them to come back and correct this, but they told me they would just "hammer" the place flat with a block of wood. I was not too interested in them hammering on the brand new
vinyl. So fortunately per the Manufacture (Congoleum) this product is installed "floating". This allowed me to carefully roll
back areas to see what was under the vinyl. Turned out it was scraps of vinyl that the installers trimmed off. Removing the scrap piece from under the vinyl removed the bump.
They had one large seam on the installation, and this seam was not set per the manufacture. I said something about this, and they indicated there would not be enough material to "get the pattern right" so they set it like they did. BUT we had paid for the extra material so it could be set per manufacturers recommended pattern match up. This was a big disappointment as the seam is visible (middle of the room).
At one place along the kitchen sink area (a wet area) they cut the vinyl short by about an inch, allowing you to see the sub floor for about 3 x ½ inch.
On a bright note with the installer, they did remove all of the old material as asked. And was willing to come back (which they did two times) to fix things, molding falling off, seams that needed to be re-glued.
All and all they are not the craftsmen that I would expect from a place like floor quest and for such a high end product like the Congoleum Airstep. Most likely they would do good work on a cheap vinyl install for a rental.
