B Kottke Construction LLC

Gave estimate in June. Selected his estimate over a lower one, as I decided the quality of the shingles was better in the Kottke contract. Signed contract in July. Said it would be summer or fall. In September I sent an email asking about the date. Finally set the date of September 30 for start. Shingles and supplies arrived on my front lawn the Thursday before - but late enough in the year that it didn't matter. My house is small, but has a fairly steep roof and dormers. Had a smaller than normal crew, so took 4 days. The roof looks great, they seemed to have done an excellent job, the workers were friendly and hard-working and clean-up was very complete. I have a lot of flowers and shrubs around my home, but nothing was seriously trampled or damaged. They moved what they needed moved and put things back in place. I was out of town the day they finished, but when I returned everything was in great order and the dumpster was gone. I had contact with Mr. Kottke through email to his phone - and he always responded in a timely manner.

Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend this business to others.

Kottke was the first roofing company I called. I was impressed by their website, which had a lot of information and showcased their use of equipment that would make the job go faster and the clean up easier. Ben came out to do the estimate, took measurements and emailed the bid to me that evening. We ended up doing the gutters through another company and when I asked him to revise the bid to just be the roof, it was done quickly. He also came to drop off samples of the colors for us, which was an extra step I really appreciated.
The weather has been terrible with a lot of rain which put off the schedule of the roof but when the date was set, Ben said they would arrive between 7:15 and 7:30 and should be done the same day. As promised, he and the crew came out on time and got right to work. It was a large crew and they were very nice and professional. They took care to drive the equipment on only one side of the yard to save the neighbor's lawn and any time they saw my kids outside, they made sure to let everyone know not to toss anything down to the ground. Without me asking, Ben said that he would make sure our gutters stayed on because it was going to continue to rain before the exterior painting job we have planned could be done and the new gutters would have to wait until after that.
We left to go to dinner around 5:00 and when we came back, the job was done and the yard cleaned. We have a lot of roof- a 2 story, 2500sf home with a three car garage with nothing over it. They had the work done and in 11 hours. By 8 the next morning, the equipment trailer and the dumpster were gone and there was no sign of major construction being done the day before. I would recommend Ben and his crew to anyone and couldn't be more impressed with their quality and professionalism.

They did an excllent job and the price was right in line of what we were looking for. I told them I would like it completed sooner than later and they fit me in the following week. The old shingles were in bad shape and I wanted to have it done before the rainy season. The employees are licensed with the shingle manufacturer which gives you a much better manufacturers warranty. The company also gives a nice workmanship warranty. They ensured there was plenty of water and ice shield at the edges and ensured the venting was appropriate and adequate. The guys worked hard and stayed busy and did a good job of cleaning up everyday (2 days) before they left. I would use them again and recommend them to my friends as well.

I would definitely use him again. The price was very reasonable and the work was excellent. I would definitely recommend him.

They were very professional. They were hard workers. They came at 7am and finished at 5 pm. They used high class equiptment and were very clean. I got great references to use them and I would recommend them to anyone. They were honest and helpful.
