Our Past: Minds At Development started in 2003 with the primary focus on the hospitality industry. Until then, the most popular method of connecting to the internet was using a Dial-Up connection, which required a secondary telephone connection in each room. Our main objective was to free the user from the limitations set by the length of the telephone cord, thereby allowing them to roam freely anywhere in the hotel and stay connected. Also, we wanted to help hotel managements eliminate costs of installing and maintaining a secondary telephone connection in every room. Teaming up with industry renowned vendors like 3Com, HP, and Cisco Aironet, we were able to design and implement efficient WiFi networks providing unmatched service and support to our clients. Building on this solid idea, we were able to rapidly expand to many metropolitan cities all over the Midwest. Our Present: Wireless broadband connections in rooms and throughout the hotel must now be fast, easily accessible and preferably free. Inferior speeds at hotels leads to frustration. Minds At Development is constantly evolving to bring a fast and reliable connection to these guests. Developing in-house solutions such as Firewalls, Secure HotSpots, etc, we are always working to bring new and innovative ideas to our customers. It’s no secret that a hotel’s communications system is its life’s blood. Communications have come a long way since phones were first invented, and now we have arrived at the era of VoIP.
