We recently had a deck built around our pool by Loft Remodeling and Architectural Salvage, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Mike was incredibly skilled and brought a high level of professionalism to the job. The work was completed in a timely manner, and it’s clear that he takes pride in the quality of his craftsmanship. He was also very knowledgeable and guided us through the entire process with confidence and clarity. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-notch work and a smooth experience! Five stars only because I can’t give any more than five!!!

I highly recommend Loft Remodeling for any home renovation or improvement needs. As first-time homeowners, we had a lot of questions about maintaining and upgrading our space, and Mike was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Not only did he fix issues quickly and efficiently, but he also took the time to explain how we could tackle similar projects ourselves in the future. Mike helped us with a wide range of tasks—from painting a room and installing a new microwave (including venting it properly), to replacing sink piping and more. He was approachable, communicated clearly every step of the way, and brought a high level of skill to each project. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and look forward to working with him again.

I recently had Mike from the Loft completely update a 30 year old, outdated and ugly bathroom. It was a complete redo. The whole bathroom needed to be gutted. The planning of everything was a bit overwhelming with so many choices to make about flooring, faucets, fixtures, tiling, etc. Mike made it easy by offering a few terrific options for each item that needed replacing. Mike did a great job - everything was completed in a timely manner with expertise and precision. It hads been transformed into a beautiful, new bathroom. Mike cleaned up the remodel mess perfectly, too. We are delighted with our updated, clean and sparkling master bathroom!

Mike is great, he is handling many aspect of this major remodel. He is doing tile work, install cabinets, finish carpentry, and install new interior and exterior doors. Everything Mike has worked on had demonstrated his craftsmanship and attention to detail. Mike has kept me informed of all aspects of the project planning and budget. He has always keep me up to date on project progress, and by keeping me informed there has been no surprises. Mike has shown integrity in all of our interactions and how he conducts himself. Very professional and I will probably work with Mike again in the future.

Fantastic work and communication from Mike and his team. It so hard to find contractors with great skills, who show up when they say they will, and create beautiful results. He's a pro tiler and so knowledgeable about all aspects of remodeling. I'd recommend him without hesitation.

BEWARE. Mike Spitalli is very unethical. I trusted my gut on this one and it failed me. I signed a contract for labor only with him. I initially wanted him to demo my kitchen which included removing a coat closet and drywalling the wall behind it for cabinets and paint. Demo a half load bearing wall which would require a support beam and drywalling and paint, install a circulating exhaust fan, remove a click together floor and repair with a new manufactured wood click in floor. I also had a small wall in the dining area that needed to be opened up, rebuilt straight instead of angled. His labor only bid was $25,650. I was going to be provided receipts for all the building materials he provided and also had to pay those. I was providing and having cabinets and countertops installed through Lowe?s who are amazing so far. I had to pay his electrician, his plumber. My deposit to enter into a contract was about $ 3850. I rounded it up in good faith to $4000. Fast forward a couple weeks no work has started no permits just some drawings that I could submit to my association for approval. I decide not to remove the wall in rebuild it about 6? so it was straight and not angled for a beloved furniture piece. Tough decision but it seemed like too much mess with drywall, repairing the wood floor under it and painting that whole wall and possibly ceiling. I tell him to take that off and resubmit proposal. He says he can take $800 off!! What??? Out of 25k of pretty standard stuff other than that wall and load bearing wall, I?m only saving $800. I told him that was unacceptable and I would need to go back to my bids. He immediately cancels the contract and informs me I will get no money back. I was upset to say the least. I was under contract but we haven?t started anything yet. I told him I would write a scathing review all truthful. He immediately fires back that I need to back off or I will be charged with Extortion! He went as far as to call the police. I told the officer what happened and he assured me that posting honest truthful reviews is not extortion. I warned him! It was not a threat it was a promise. Now while I?m busy putting together a small claim case against him, he is apparently meeting with his ?legal team?. What happened here is a civil matter and no laws were broken. I asked him to send me a copy of the legal documents I signed and he has yet to produce them. I feel like I?m being punked. Wish me luck in small claims court. Fortunately everything is documented with texts and emails. The 30million dollar question. Why would he mind if I told our story in a review if he thought what he was doing was ethical. He accused me of trying to ?destroy my business and livelihood? His words, if he doesn?t give me my money back.

I am so grateful to have had such an excellent contractor. A basement remodel in a 1920s home is always going to have surprises and puzzles to solve. Mike took on the challenge, made awkward spaces more comfortable, and added a bathroom where there was none. He communicated carefully every step of the way, and offered options and great suggestions. His tile work is beautiful and he pays attention to details. I wholeheartedly recommend Mike.

Enjoyed working with Mike. he was very professional and allowed me to help him complete the project on time and taught me much about tools, drywall, electrical, and remodeling. Would recommend him and hire him again for other projects.

This bathroom remodel was done so well. The contractor kept to his timeframe, there were no delays. He communicated every day to update me with pictures and detailed description. I will hire him for all of my remodeling need in the future and will be referring him as well.

Mike was very professional, answered any questions I had and explained everything he did step by step with pictures. Would highly recommend him and we will think of him again for future projects.

Was wonderful in drawing plans, running permits, and completing work over a very reasonable time period in spite of this project's being on the smaller size and scope of what they typically do. All work was done to a top quality level. Mike was very responsive the whole time. Mike was referred to me after work done for another member of my family. They were most pleased, as I am now.

Mr. Spitalli is a true professional. He was detailed in his evaluation of the project and in defining the scope of his work. He was prompt in responding to any questions or requests. He was true to his word as to when work would start and was accurate in his estimate of completion. I was very pleased that I hired him for this project in my Home.

Mike took the time to listen to what our goal was and our thoughts on how to get there. He provided just the right amount of expertise and guidance to get us there -- on time and on budget. All work was very professional and well-done, and he goes above-and-beyond to ensure minimal disruption to our environment (especially important as I work from home). I already have a wish list in mind for other projects!

We contracted Mike to remodel two baths and a bedroom into two larger baths and a closet. It was a large project. He is very communicative. However, we were unhappy with the final finish on several items. He also estimated costs for plumping and electrical that were only 50% of the final cost. This resulted in us being over budget by over $10,000. We have had to re-do and fix multiple things ourselves, such as grout and tile. All in all, Mike means well, but was over his head with our project and as a result, we felt we overpaid for the finished quality we received. It was a disappointing experience, to say the least.

Mike was excellent. Not only the quality of the work but in setting expectations on a weekly and daily basis. He started every day by telling us what would be accomplished that day and then summarizing at the end of the day what had been accpomplished. The quality of the work was excellent and he managed the anxiety that can acompany a remodel.

Loft remodeling did an absolutely wonderful job building our deck. Mike, the owner, was dependable and was actually $800 below estimate. Mike also built in certain details that only a real craftsman could accomplish. Heâ s an incredible builder who I would recommend to anyone and will definitely use again.

Mike is very thorough with the work that is visible and even more importantly, the quality of the work that is invisible! Quality is critical for bathroom or kitchen remodel to repair or to prevent water damage beneath the tile and flooring! He is also prompt and great at communication!

We had an idea to use IKEA bookshelves as the base for a large set of pseudo-built-in bookshelves. We shared a picture with Mike, and he worked up some great plans that were affordable as well as just what we were looking for. Mike is so communicative, friendly, and informative. He does great work and also takes the time to explain his plan and keep you in the loop to achieve a great final product. We're so grateful for Mike and were glad to use him a second time already.

I highly recommend Mike and Loft Remodeling. Mike contacted me after I had been told by 2 other companies that it was too late in the year (October) to have new windows created in my family room. I had disappointedly decided to postpone my plan until spring and was so happy that Mike did the job, beautifully, within weeks. Mike created new windows in the family room, previously a very dark space, well in advance of the Holidays. Mike was also very accommodating when I asked about an additional, outdoor job which consisted of moving a fence to allow me to let my dog in and out from the attached garage, another project I had been told would have to wait. Now with the snow and messy weather it is so great to be able to spare my family room floor. The projects were done with minimal disruption to the household, were affordable, and I appreciated that Mike respected Covid precautions in and around my home. I will definitely be calling upon him again as I think of future projects.

Great quality! Absolutely in love with the finished product. I would highly recommend The Loft to anyone looking to remodel their bathroom or kitchen! Will definitely use again for our next home project.

Mike is great to work with. He is communicative and responsive by email, text, and call. He talks through the steps of the project and offers clear information in preparation for the project. While working, Mike is fastidious about keeping clean and tidy, especially when wrapping up work days. He offers constant updates about timeframe and tirelessly answers all questions. He's especially a good fit for first-time homeowners perhaps making a first attempt at renovations/updates.

They follow through and finished the job to more than my satisfaction.

I always knew what the next steps were, what was happening on the project, when he would arrive and if there were issues....suggestions in how to resolve the issue. His work was excellent. He works hard, no music. No long lunches. Goal oriented and very neat. Communicates well. Explains things clearly and gives options. Pleasant. He installed trex deck with rain channel system. Like his work so much, will have him do my daughterâ s deck as well.
