We thought there was no way of restoring it but Robert came through and said they could do it and it was no big deal. They are 3/4 of an inch thick. He saved the top part but we lost about 1/8 of an inch because of the gauges and burns. He put 3 coats of polyurethane. We are going to have Robert do our upstairs as well. his professionalism stood out and his knowledge of the different types of wood. He's very knowledgeable and a perfectionist. he saved it, it had to stain so we picked out the stain. he left it very clean, it wasn't dusty and they were respectful of our home. They take their shoes off and only wear socks.
