The job was OK, but we would never hire them again. They were very unprofessional. They did not get a permit so we got a call from the city. He wanted us to write the check out directly to him and not to his company name. The drip edge was supposed to be all white. We had three colors; bronze, brown and white. We had to call several times to get him out to change that.

The owner of the company was professional, prompt and courteous when we got the estimate. He told us that he could get to this job within two weeks after receiving our signed contract. His price was the best out of 4 bids that we received. We sent in contract and then could not get them to respond. We got in contact a few times but were told that they had not yet received our contract. Finally after 6 weeks, they acknowledged that they had received the contract and that it had been lost in a pile of papers somewhere in the office. Things moved quickly from that point on. They had a team of about 10 guys out in a couple days. We caught them trying to install only 3 feet of ice shielding, when the quote said 7 - in the end they only installed 6 feet because they came in 3 feet sheets. By the time they got to the installation, we were well into November and so the shingles haven't had the opportunity to seal yet - not ideal for the rest of the winter. Overall quality of the installation appears to be satisfactory, as was the price. Timeliness, responsiveness and professionalism leave much to be desired. I would not use this company again.

Very well. They came with a crew of 15 or 20 men. and did the entire stripping and laying shingles in one day. The owners use subcontractors but the work we had done was excellent. I cannot complain.

First contact in June, 2007, finally got estimate & signed contract in August, 2007. Roof was re-shingled in October, 2007. Soffit, fascia & cladding done in January, 2008. Gutters & downspouts are not done as of 01-24-08. During this entire period we have attempted to contact this contractor at least 5 times per week to ascertain why, after promising to complete the work in a timely manner, he was ignoring us. The few times he returned our calls, he had excuses (an emergency job, vacation, hunting, death of a friend, etc.). Also, what work has been done was completed by subcontractors and Culligan only showed up a few times during the job and (immediately after the roofing) to demand payment. He hasn't come around since, but he did send a bill within 48 hours of the soffit/fascia/cladding completion demanding payment for that part of the job.

The completed project was very good and done in less than one day. Clean up was excellent. From when I signed the contract it took two and a half months to get the project completed. I would recommend Affordable Roofing if you are not in a hurry. Mr Culligan knows what he is doing and does good work but be prepared to wait.

They contacted me immediately after I am emailed them and they came out the next morning. They gave me a fair estimate and a guarantee on the workmanship. They completed the work in a very timely fashion and were extremely professional. I was extremely pleased with the service and would definitely recommend them for many different home repairs.

It went very well. They were the lowest bidders. The company is locally owned and has been in Madison for 17 years (I think). The work crew, though they didn't all speak English, were clean, courteous, and prompt.
