Westgate Animal Hospital

Doctor Meyer from Westgate was the only Vet we could find on call. My sister and I were cuddle up with Harley on the back porch when he arrived. (1) Meyer started by explaining the process but never asked if we needed another minute or two to say our goodbyes before getting started. (2) We were not informed until after Harley was gone that he would not be taking Harley back to the clinic with him that night. - because no one was available to unload at the clinic even though we volunteered to help. (3) By this point we were obviously upset. Meyer then stated that it was cold enough out that we could just leave him out on the porch for the night. (That's right - he told us to leave our poor guy who is like a family member to us out on the porch overnight like it was no big deal). Now I was disgusted with the way Meyer was handling the situation. (4) To make matters even better Meyer then told us that the clinic is usually busy from 7-9 So we would have to wait until after that to bring him in. This man showed no true compassion for our loss. Appeared to just want to get things over with and get home. The next morning I called our normally clinic the second they open and they prepared to have us bring Harley within Minutes. I then had to go to Westgate to settle our account and inform them we would not be using their cremation services. I informed the ladies at the front counter why I was there and how displeased I was with the situation. I received a few half hearted sorrys for how the vet acted and was promptly handed my $250 Bill. Not one person from Westgate showed any compassion for me/us loseing out pet/family/friend. Not a single I'm sorry for your loss was mumbled. Bottom line we will NEVER use their services again and strongly urge others not to as well. Very cold and mechanical staff.

Prescribed laxatone 3 times a week didn't go have to go back

Awesome! They took the time to talk to us about our pets history and our concerns. They reviewed all of his reports and spent time explaining everything. The are very hands on and loving when taking care of our pets. They take the time to answer all of your questions. The entire staff is very hands on and you can tell they care about your pets.

Our older dog has heart issues. We had taken him to the other clinic for a day procedure with times reserved in the morning at drop-off and at pick-up to speak with the vet. At both times I was told the vet did not have time to talk to me.

We then moved our three pet family to Westgate.

They're okay although they aren't anything special. I think they're a bit expensive.
