MENARD'S

Everything went well, and their customer service skills are excellent.

I normally don't shop at Menard's but couldn't find what I was looking for at the hardware store near my home. I am now a Menard's believer. Not only do they have a great selection, but their staff is amazing. I was ASKED if I needed help twice on the way back to the kitchen section of the store. When I got back to cabinetry, Spencer Phelps helped me. He helped me locate another piece of countertop at the Fishers store where I was helped by Reagan, who was just as nice. Spencer was knowledgeable, acted like he liked his work and even referred to me as a "guest". It was the royal treatment and it made me a fan of Menard's.

Great! I had several suggestions as to the direction I was going. They were even going to sell me one piece of the store sample, but I didn't think one piece would give me a idea what I wanted to achieve. I was told if I did by a bundle and did not like it, it may be returned if it was not used. I did keep it and purchased more at a later date.

Purchased a Maytag air conditioner for full price, even though it was in an open box. Was told it was open, only for display purposes. After I got it home and out of the box, I could see damage to the cooling fins, which indicated that this was a returned item. There was a severe heat watch in effect, so I installed it any way. Several days later, I realized that something was wrong with the electronic control. I can only use part of the intended features of this unit, without causing it to lock up and not cool any more. Since it has been permanently installed, I guess I am stuck with a brand new broken air conditioner.

The employees were very helpful. They walked me through the store and helped me find the supplies I was looking for.

STAFF WAS HELPFUL WITH ANSWERING QUESTIONS & PROCESSING A RETURN. THEY HAD ENOUGH CABINET HARDWARE TO PURCHASE ALL NEEDED WITHOUT MULTIPLE TRIPS/BACKORDERS -- MADE LIFE MUCH EASIER.
