Furnace replacementbetter than excepted

We just bought a house and wanted to have the furnace and ac serviced. We also wanted to have the ducts cleaned. Jake arrived on time, was very friendly, and was very knowledgeable. Being a first time homebuyer he went through and explained everything and gave me tips. When he checked out the ducts, he noted that they must have been cleaned somewhat recently and were in great shape. He was honest and suggested holding off on cleaning them but gave an estimate for cost if we did decide to do it. Excellent customer service and I would recommend them to anyone.

Needed to replace HVAC units that were 25+ years old and had repaired during winter several times due to circuit board and burner problems. Bud from Erv Smith Heating was great to work with. He was on time and provided several options for consideration and efficiency of a 3,600 sf home. After obtaining 3 bids we accepted Erv Smith Bid for a Trane Furnace and AC system. Added Humidifier and electronic air cleaner. The work was done on time and service techs cleaned up as if they were never here and hauled away old equipment. Erv Smith worked through all rebates with manufacturer and Xcel Energy so I only had a net due after rebates.

Bud and his team made this so easy. We would for sure recommend Erv Smith Heating!

Heating and Cooling contracting is their major part of their business. I have a contract with him and he does the cleaning and the adjustments twice a year and if there are any repairs I get a discount on it.

It's a hot water system with baseboard heat registers. Even though it is 26 years old it is not leaking and has been dead reliable, so he recommended having it serviced each season and if the service tech finds nothing wrong keep using it. It would have been an easy sale for him but he was honest and prevented me from spending a lot of money unnecessarily. He said he would quote a couple of new models so I would know what to expect when needed and I received them just two days later.

In the end it was a great experience and they even recommend some custom solutions if any issues were to arise or if we wanted to make changes in the future. In the end I know a lot more about chimneys and will use Erv and the staff at The Hearth Shoppe for any future fire place needs

They are very good at what they do. We have had the furnace for 3 years. The first guy that came out and did an excellent job. The next year it was another guy and he so good. This year we requested the guy we had the first year and he did an excellent job. They have an excellent reputation and I think they have earned it. Costs are going up all the time, but we don't like having to pay it out like this. They are punctual, they give you a time frame they are going to come and they show up during that time.

They area a local company, been in business a long time and have a good reputation. We have just always had very good luck with them. They are prompt and professional. We have just always gotten them and I would highly recommend them.

He was very expensive. He was unable to fix the fireplace to my satisfaction.

They are very good. They showed up when they said they would. They called to let us know that they were on the way. They delivered what they said they would. They even did a follow up call to see if we had any issues and they let us know about their warranty information if we had any furnace trouble. Their prices was pretty comparable to other stuff we've had done. They were a little more expensive but they were a little more thorough. We would absolutely use them again.

Service person cleaned that orifice and cleaned the others. He also cleaned out all the rust (lots of it, as the humidifier had been leaking). Also cleaned a sensor. He was very careful in his work. I had asked if I could watch; he explained all the way through what he was doing. He was an excellent and pleasant representative of Erv Smith. During my original phone call to order the service, I was told that it would cost $55 just for coming to the house. I had not asked. I felt that the overall charges were reasonable.
