Eau Claire Animal Hospital

I have been a client of this clinic for many years now. My cat Winston had numerous health issues and recently developed pancreatitis as well as early stage kidney disease, this seemed to cause his dementia to rapidly advance and he stopped eating and drinking and lost  weight. I was giving him IV flluids at home and started syringe feedings but that is no life for a cat.  He started missing the litter box and would be fine one day and really off the next. I could not let him go on like that.  I called the clinic and and got the appointment.  When we arrived we were taken back to room and Dr. Bohl came and and discussed everything with me and let me know I was doing the right thing. She asked me if I wanted to do it that day and I said I did.  She gave him and injection to mellow him out and let us spend as much time with him as we wanted.  She asked me if I was ready for the last injection and I told her yes and she gave that to him while I held him, She checked his heart to make sure he was gone and  hugged me, then told me to take as much time as I needed.  I made arrangement for Cremation.  
This was the hardest thing I have had to do in many years and the Dr. Bohl and the other staff members went out of their way to make this as easy as possible for me.  I received a beautiful card with Winstons paw print on it and notes from Dr. Bohl and all the techs that had worked wth Winston over the years. It meant so much to me.  
I have used this clinic and referred many other people to this clinic. I am very picky on who I use for my animals as I worked many years for a Veterinarian and know how different they all can be.  Eau Claire Animal Hospital gives the best customer service and really cares about your pet and you as a person as well.  I never feel rushed and I know I am getting the best, top quality care for my animals who are my kids!

I started using EC Animal Hospital the summer of 2009 when I moved to the area and tried out a few of the area vets. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the reception area along with exam rooms. The staff is always professional, caring. At first, I used them for general vet concerns/vaccinations/occasional health issue.
Then, in August 2011, I adopted a special needs dogs that suffered seizures. This is when I was thoroughly impressed with the care my dog received. It took many visits and medication changes/doses to get the seizures to be controlled along with education on treating them. Excellent service!
A year later, my oldest Lab was seen for a sore shoulder. She has x-rays taken...her shoulder was unremarkable, but the radio-graph showed an enlarged heart! Incidentally found! We were guided in the subsequent care and follow-up testing in regards to conjestive heart failure for our lab. I am happy to report that Jette (the lab) is being treated with no signs of CHF.
I have always had great care here. They do emergency care. The price is comparable to the rest of the area vets.
