Sallmann Painting worked for us under emergency circumstances.  We were building a log cabin and had some interior sanding, staining and sealing to do on spindles, rails, posts, fireplace mantle, etc.  Our original painter had barely started the job when he disappeared.  I checked Angie’s List to find someone with a good reputation who might be able to complete the work and found Sallmann Painting.  The owner, Ron Sallmann,  met us on a weekend, looked over the job and gave us a bid which we thought was reasonable. He and his crew fit us into their busy schedule, working evenings and weekends and completed the job within a couple of weeks. We are totally satisfied with the work they performed and would use them again for wood finishing as well as painting..  I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

We obtained bids from 3 painters. Their bid was higher than the others but they could start and finish the job sooner than the others which was important to us as we wanted to open windows while they were here and didn't want to be heating the outdoors. Overall, we were very satisfied with the job. They arrived each day on time and were very courteous and helpful. They even took the time to help us select a different color after we agreed our first choice was not working for the family room and they suggested the accent colors for the alcoves that really provided a nice touch. At the outset Ron anticipated that the job would take between 2 to 3 days and they were finished in just under 2 1/2 days. They were very neat and cleaned up each night. We will recommend them to others and would hire them again.

I'm considering him for more work, as well. He did a great job. I was satisfied with his work.

This was by far the best experience I've ever encountered with a painter!! Ron Sallman was always on time with his crew, usually starting at 7AM. The job took a week & at the end of every day, Ron would call me to see how everything was progressing, & that every thing was on track & I was happy with the work. Throughout the week, Ron would step in periodically to check on his crew to make sure every thing was going as planned. His quality is unprecedented & I would highly recommend him again!! Thanks again Ron for all of your work. Our master bath is beautiful!!

Excellent, couldn't ask for nicer people. Arrived on time, finished on time, did excellent job cleaning up. Will use them again soon.

THEY DID AN EXTREMELY GOOD JOB. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL.

Did an excellent job. Ron is very professional and the crew he had did a very meticulous job. We are very pleased with the results and neighbors have stopped by to tell us how nice everything looks.

It went well - it did take an extra day than expected, however the end result was very good.

First, they came and power washed our house. A few days later the crew arrived to start the painting and staining. The guys were very careful not to make a mess and always cleaned up after themselves. They were also very polite and courteous when I would make a request to touch something up. We are quite pleased with the way our house looks and recommend them highly to our friends.

Sallmann painting crew came on time. They were very professional, completed all work in a timely fashion, helped move furniture before and after painting and totally cleaned up after the job was finished. I was very happy with their work and would have them again.

RON WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND GAVE A DETAILED EXPLANATION OF THE WORK THAT THEY WOULD PERFORM. THERE WERE 3 TO 5 PEOPLE WORKING ON THE HOUSE AT ANY GIVEN TIME. THEY WORKED EFFICIENTLY AND DID A THOROUGH CLEAN UP AFTERWARDS. THEY ALSO REPAINTED THE HOUSE NUMBERS ON THE GARAGE AND FIXED A GOUGE THAT WAS IN ONE OF THE WINDOW SILLS THAT THEY DID NOT CREATE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM AND/OR HIRE THEM AGAIN.

THIS IS A FOLLOWUP TO THE REPORT WE SUBMITTED ON 11/19/04. PROBABLY THE PARAGRAPH BELOW CAN BE ADDED TO OUR ORIGINAL REPORT. I CHOSE N/A FOR THE GRADES, WHERE POSSIBLE, FOR THIS FOLLOWUP. OUR DECK WAS REPAINTED BY RON THIS PAST SEPTEMBER AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. ALTHOUGH THE JOB WAS DONE LATER THAN WE HAD HOPED, THE DELAY WAS DUE IN PART TO THE TIME REQUIRED TO WORK WITH THE PAINT SUPPLIER TO PROVIDE PAINT OF THE ORIGINAL COLOR. WE HAVEN'T OBSERVED ANY BUBBLES IN THE PAINT THIS TIME AROUND.

I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW PLEASED I AM WITH THE JOB THEY DID. THEY PAY GREAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL. THEY HAND SANDED ALL OF THE AREAS THAT NEEDED IT! THEY REPLACED ALL OF THE OLD CAULK AND WERE POLITE, CLEAN AND CONCERNED WITH OUR OPINION OF THE JOB AS IT PROGRESSED. RON KEPT THE LINE OF COMMUNICATION OPEN AT ALL TIMES. FOR MOST OF THE WORK WE HAD A SOLITARY PAINTER BUT DON WAS AWESOME! I RECOMMEND SALLMANN HIGHLY! IT TOOK AWHILE TO FINISH OUR HOUSE BUT IT WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT! THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT I WILL HAVE THEM RETURN SHOULD THE NEED ARISE.

RON CAME OUT PROMPTLY TO GIVE US AN ESTIMATE ON OUR JOB. WE CALLED HIM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER, AND HE WAS ABLE TO GET TO OUR JOB IN THE EARLY FALL. THERE WAS A LONGER-THAN-USUAL DELAY DUE TO THE WET WEATHER. TO RON'S CREDIT, HE DID NOT WANT TO PAINT OUR DECK IN WET WEATHER. THE PAINT JOB LOOKS GOOD. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THE JOB (HENCE THE B QUALITY RATING), WAS THAT THE PAINT BUBBLED UP IN SEVERAL SPOTS. RON CAME OUT IMMEDIATELY WHEN I NOTIFIED HIM OF THE PROBLEM, AND HE WAS AS PUZZLED AS WE WERE. HE SUSPECTS THAT THE BUBBLES WERE CAUSED BY AN INTERACTION WITH THE ORIGINAL PAINT THAT WAS ON THE DECK. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THE BUBBLES ARE DUE TO NEGLIGENCE ON RON'S PART. IN ANY CASE, HE HAS PROMISED TO REPAINT THE DECK AT NO CHARGE THIS SPRING.

VERY NEAT WORKERS--NO CLEAN-UP REQUIRED WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR COLORS WERE EXCELLENT AND THE WORK WAS COMPLETED IN 3 1/2 DAYS (LARGE CREW OF WORKERS).

I THOUGHT THEY WERE EXPENSIVE, BUT I REALLY DIDN''T SHOP AROUND ENOUGH TO BE SURE. THEY HAD AN UNEXPECTED OPENING AT VERY SHORT NOTICE, AND I WAS EAGER TO HAVE THE WORK DONE, SO I PAID THE PRICE. THEY DID A VERY NICE JOB.
