I hired this company to finish a drywall project when my last contractor fell short. He also agreed to paint for me. After requesting a $500 down payment, he started working. Everything was looking like it was progressing properly. The last day he was here, I was not around. He emailed me late that night saying he finished the job and said I owed him quite a bit more than the agreed amount. I went to inspect his work before paying the rest of the amount. After inspection, I saw the worst drywall and painting job I have ever seen in my life. The drywall was unfinished. No final sanding appeared to be done. Very uneven with bumps and gouges everywhere. Then he decided it was OK to paint over this mess. The paint was also terrible. Runs and drips all over the place. Thin spots in others. He told me he applied a coat of primer and two coats of paint. I can still see the drywall in spots. When I attempted to contact him about this, he ignored my emails and will not contact me back. Do not hire this guy.

I would gladly recommend Driftless. I initially reached out to them to repair a couple of broken sprinkler heads but also asked if they would be able to diagnose and repair an issue with some of my landscape lighting not coming on. From my initial contact to the onsite work, I was impressed with Matthew's professionalism. Onsite, he arrived on time, was very polite and transparent. In particular, I appreciated the fact that although he was charging by the hour, Matthew hustled to get sprinkler heads repaired and then quickly moved on to diagnosing and fixing the lighting problem. Both were completed efficiently and in good time. I thought it was great value for the money. It's can be hard to find pros you can trust to do a great job with honest and transparent pricing. I would highly recommend Driftless.
