It Was A Good Experience Our pets have been long time patients of DLVC. I knew my way around the talking parrot, the room off to the side where the scale and pet food were kept. I felt very much at home. New Rules in light of our Covid companion. I was to call upon my arrival. Then discuss ALL my concerns with the attending tech who flew out the door and greeted me thru my car window. From the cushy comfort of my front seat I relayed all my pet concerns. She jotted down notes inside my pet’s file, cross checked what I had said... cross checked last instructions with current protocols. Off goes my pet, his folder and the tech into the waiting arms of his vet. I watch a bit wistfully, like a Mom looking at her kid entering the kindergarten room for the first time. You'll be instructed to wait there or return at a particular time. This is all worked out before you arrive for your the appointment. It actually feels much faster than the old way. Another plus. Dr. Hartwig had questions, she was on the phone to me with my pet in front of her, and though I could not see either of them I felt very much a part of the exam. This probably worked better for everyone. Pick up time was prompt and quick! It's rather adorable to see DLVC army of techs popping out of the door with their respective pet charges going to the parking lot’s waiting cars and returning Fido back in Mom’s waiting arms. Frankly, you don't even need to comb your hair. Just show up. Nothing could be easier, safer or more competent. Bravo DLVC for, as always, excellent care for my pets and I.

Not good. They try to charge me for test I already had done. Try to tell me it was over a year since last and as far as his medical record says it was 5 months ago. The Vet tech Lori was very rude to me and call the cops on me when I told am I was taking my business. Elsewhere and letting people know of there wrong doing. The officer said they said I threatened the vet. Told the officer that's funny cause I never even had a chance to talk to the vet. Wow. Mind blown. Who does business like this

They're the best in the country. They're very knowledgeable. I've always had dog with special problems and they've been good at diagnosing them and taking care of them. They kept my dogs that were really sick alive a long time. They had a good quality of life. I don't think other vets could have done that.

Dr. very professional. Examined dog, did "fecal float and smear", Famotidine 10 mg and one can IAMS Canine Low-Residue Can. Possible problem with his food intake. The vet clinic here is more expensive than in El Paso, TX but very happy with their care of our animals. Have had all three dogs in to see them and am very happy with the care. The clinic will be calling on Monday to verify that our dog is doing OK. They also provide in-home services if necessary.

.Delavan Lakes was convenient, exceptionally clean, has friendly, professional staff and the vets are first rate. I'm in the medical field so able to ask some technical questions which were thoroughly answered. They didn't try to push additional things I felt we didn't need. My old dog had his teeth cleaned and loved his caregiver, recovered perfectly. Some people think that cleaning dogs' teeth is just a way for vets to make money. I learned the hard way that gum disease leads to kidney disease, which my other dog developed along with severe gum disease. This breed (Sheltie) seems especially susceptible. I have very limited funds (age, disability) but it is no bargain (or savings) to feed cheap food and avoid good vet care, heartworm, etc. if you truly love your pets. I think Delavan Lakes would work with me in trying to hold down costs, should the need arise. In the meantime my 12 y/o dog has learned to have his teeth brushed daily! My cat also visited them for routine care.

Delavan Lakes Veterinary are very friendly. They know my name and my dogs names. They are a very professional service. I could probably go to some place cheaper, but I would prefer to pay more. I will continue to use them in the future.
