We had Meyers install a NEMA 14-50 outdoor receptacle. Overall, very pleased with the job they did with that. But, when trenching for the new line they cut existing wires in the yard. Stuff happens, but I didn't expect to be charged $910 (almost half the original estimate) for them to fix the damage without any heads up. We were able to settle on $550. Obviously, costs them time and materials, but the whole experience just feels off... In 20 years of home ownership, I've never had a vendor charge me for damage they caused before.

The worker cleaned the fan in bathroom and said it worked. The dust was everywhere and the fan is very noisy and needs to be replaced. The hanging tiffany needs to be rewired but it would cost around one hundred dollars and he didn't know if we wanted to spend that much money on it.The lamp was four hundred dollars so we would want it rewired. The kitchen fan/light could not be fixed and would need to be replaced. He replaced an old dimmer with a new one we had purchased. He was scheduled to come on a certain day in the morning after another call. We waited until afternoon and called. The first job went too long and he wasn't coming. He came the following day right on time. He was very pleasant so was the woman who scheduled us, however we didn't get much accomplished. I don't know we will call them again. I am giving just an average grade because so little was done.

We had considerable correspondence because the cable passed under a wide sidewalk and mature shrubs. Rather than a site visit we used e mailed pictures to show these areas of concern. We also spent considerable time on the internet trying to match a new pole lamp and porch lamp to our existing "antique copper" mailbox. We finally located fair matches but delivey took several weeks and the timetable required substantial correspondence and coordination. However it all came together and we were very pleased that Meyers Electric had technology to locate the break so that complete retrenching was not required. Their employees were always courteous and professional and we would not hesitate to use their services again.

the problem was solved

I took in 3 separate lamps to get looked at. Only one had to be repaired. It was a table lamp with a 3 way switch. They charged me $50 just to repair a switch. I was very upset about the price. When I asked why it was so expensive, the service provider said they didn't even have the part and had to go out and buy it. Why didn't they have this in stock? She seemed very dismissive. However, my lamp does work and the problem was fixed.

Responsive. Answered my questions. Followed up well.
Good company and will definately call next time I need electrical work done.

I would hire Meyers Electric again without a second thought. The whole experience was positive. The quote was fair and delivered one day after we walked through the project together. They showed up one day after Digger's Hotline cleared and completed the entire project in less than a day - which was quicker than I expected. They did exactly what we discussed during the intial walk-through. The work looked good and everything functioned properly. Well done.

He did what he was told to do, and did so very quickly. The price was reasonable.

They charged what was quoted. However, the electrician they sent in must have been a rookie. He couldn't figure out how to mount the bathroom fixtures in the space provided. They had to send in their more experienced electrician to finish the installation. Also, with this big of a job, (two story foyer and cathedral ceilings installations, they only sent one man to do the job.) The electrician also scratched the finish on the bathroom fixtures. I would only ask back the more experienced electrician they had. Be sure to ask for him!
