I have had my house on the market several times over the last few years with a a qualified experienced realtor who had gotten close to selling my house but never got the deal done.   I decided that I needed to try something different and interviewed 4 realtors.  Two of them wanted to list my house at 10K less than Steve, which suggested that they were dependent on cost alone to sell my house.   The other one suggested the same list price as Steve, but Steve had a better marketing plan.  He also paid for a professional stager and a home warranty.   It was an easy decision at that point.
The decision paid off when I had an accepted offer on my house in 8 days at almost the listing price.  Credit needs to be spread around between Steve, the stagers, market conditions and just luck. But, Considering my house had been previously been listed on the market with a different agent for nearly 10 months at the same price, I think Steve did a great job and I couldn't be more pleased.
The point of a relator is to get your house sold and that is exactly what Steve did.   As for the other intangibles, he was professional, punctual, friendly, etc, basically the 'what you would want/expect' from your agent.  I would highly recommend him for anyone trying to sell their house, especially on the east side of Madison.   Steve gets results and if you want proof ask him to show you his numbers . . .

Okay so I have learned buying a house isn't for the impatient, which I am.  With that being said you can see we wouldnt have been the easiest people to deal with, but Steve was great.  He returned every phone call and text that we sent him, even when he was on vacation which I thought was outstanding.  Not only did Steve take our wants/needs into consideration but also, gave suggestions as well during the process.  Steve set aside pretty much a whole Saturday afternoon to show us about 10 houses that spanded all the way from Portage to Cambria to Friesland.  He made a point to show up at our home inspection which was on a holiday to see how things went.  He explained the whole process throughly to us and even tried to get every request we had accomplished, no matter how absurd it sounded.  Long story short my wife and I found the perfect house for us at a great price.  Steve really cares about his clients.  Comissions were not split evenly between Steve and the seller's agent, but we happily paid the difference.  Somehow he was even able to sneak in a home warranty into the deal which we were not expecting to get.  He was worth every penny.  We will definitely be using Steve for any further real estate needs.

When explaining the process of selling my home Steve was very thorough and answered any questions I had.  He always made sure to keep me updated on any progress, and referred me to people who could help me improve my home prior to selling it.

We were looking to find a place with outbuildings and some land and Steve found exactly what were looking for. Once we found the place we put our house on the market and Steve came over that night and did all the paperwork and the next day came out for photos. He not only did open houses, but put ads in the paper and magazines. We sold our house and the personl that bought our home was a real pain in the neck and Steve was great and understanding of our frustrations. With all her demands on things that she should have taken care of herself and putting them in every offer - after the sixth one and a lot of late nights by Steve we finally got things done. Since we didn't want to be in the room for the signing with this person, after all the trouble she put us through, Steve had the title company put us in separate rooms and set everything up. The day of the closing Steve called and made sure everything was going okay and to meet him at the title company & asked if we needed directions. Steve went above & beyond on the day of the closing as the buyer was asking questions that had already been answered and asking that we come and pick up bricks we had left that were part of the home (in case of repair they could be replaced) and since we didn't want to deal with her anymore Steve took time out of his busy day to stop at our old house pick up the bricks and brought them to our new home - not many real estate agents would do that! We would highly recommend Steve to anyone who is looking for an agent that is will go above & beyond for their clients needs.
