"Hello (Member name removed), I would like to apologize if you felt our service was not up to par. But saying that i also want to stress to you, or anyone reading this, that if you have questions or concerns at the time, please bring them up at the time so that we can take care of your concerns while we are there. Although you may not have noticed, we did actually clean your chimney from the bottom, It is a common misconception that all chimneys are cleaned from the top,in fact most chimneys we clean from the bottom. You also should know that you have what is known in the industry as a pre-fab chimney. These are basically a metal pipe inside a wood chase with siding and a metal plate on top. To an experienced eye it takes maybe two or 3 minutes to determine if there are any issues in relation to the outside of the chimney. We are professionals and look at hundreds of chimneys per year. While it may seem fast to you i can guarantee that our people do not miss things of importance. If you were not happy with the service or have questions or concerns I would really urge you to call and speak with me as I would be more than happy to send out another technician to give it a second look at no charge if that will assist you in feeling more comfortable about the safety of your fireplace. The communication after the purchase was prompt and clear. I was able to pick our day and time a couple of weeks out and purchase a second cleaning at the same special price. The technician arrived on time and was thorough and efficient. My husband was at home to handle the appointment and had nothing negative to say, which is quite unusual for him :)

An experienced and knowledgeable Fox Chimney professional arrived on time to inspect and clean a wood burning fireplace chimney. He inspected the chimney using a video camcorder, which could be extended to the full length of the chimney. I watched a Real-time video display while the camcorder was in the chimney; afterwards he provided me with a written report. Upon completion of the job, the site was still as clean as it was before he arrived. We were completely satisfied with Fox and would recommend their services.

When they looked at the chimney they said it didn't need to be cleaned but we didn't have a chimney cap. They installed the cap, didn't charge us for the sweep and we just paid the difference for the materials.

They arrived on time and got right to work. One person worked on wood-burning fireplace and its chimney while the other worked on the pellet stove in the basement. I had not had time to clean the firebox since the last fire, so there was a little extra cleaning for them to do (wasn't charged!). The only extra charge above the Angie's List special was the pellet stove. They spent most of their time dismantling the the connection to the chimney to discover it had not been installed correctly (Top Hat Fireplace installed) and ash was not being dropped into the chimney collection system...just piling up in the vent.
I was extremely happy with their service and professionalism and will use them again.
