KUEHN CONSTRUCTION

Although Paul Kuehn came highly recommended (we relocated and relied on our realtor's recommendation) our dream home quickly turned into a nightmare! Fortunately, the subcontractors were, for the most part, quality workmen so at least the bones of our home are solid. However, our builder grossly underbid the costs, started over a month late and ended over 6 weeks late in spite of a 4.5 month strict deadline, forged my husband's signature on the building permit which reported the builder's expired state licenses, and set the level of the house incorrectly which required steps for what should have been a no barrier entry home. He also never had the drywaller correct a poorly done finish and paint job, let 19 floor tiles get damaged, did poor woodworking and touch-up work, sent the plan to subs for bids before it was complete and didn't update them, did not present change orders until the draw etc. We had built two homes prior to this and were expecting normal building project issues, but, in summary, our builder exhibited a complete disregard for the truth and disrespect for our home (too many specifics to write them all). Anyone contemplating a project with him please contact us to see the inside of our home and look at our paper work and pictures first. We learned our lesson and joined Angie's List to find contractors to help us fix these problems and eventually finish our lower level!
