Choice Landscaping & Garden Center LLC

Choice Landscaping created the rain gardens I had hoped for (but wasn't sure how to make happen). Kind, caring people who are organized and efficient about getting their work done. I was thrilled with the work they did and have hired them to do another project in my yard this year. I couldn't be happier.

Unfortunately, there was a very heavy thumderstorm the following day and most of the seed waswashed away. I am currently asking owner, William Hess for assistance. I asked for his help. I am waiting for his response

We returned each other's calls for a couple weeks. Finally we got to talk to Bill at Choice. We asked when he could stop by to see what we wanted done & prepare a quote. My husband works in the morning so he asked if he could come in the afternoon. That wasn't convenient for him, mornings were best. He said to call him on Wednesday morning & he would stop by. When we called him that morning, he was busy & would call back. We waited all morning and no call. He never called that entire day. Apparently he didn't need our business. We're going to another landscaper.

I wish I could give Choice a top grade because they do quality work and the people are great to work with. But communicating with Choice is extremely difficult. It took five phone calls over nearly a month to get one garden bed weeded late last summer. 
We used Choice the summer before last and even then it took 2-3 calls to make contact. But they did a fine job and we liked what Jamie suggested doing the next year to keep weeds at bay. We wondered why no one followed up with us last spring. 
It was late in the season when I tried to contact them about weeding the same garden bed. No response to three phone messages I left. No response to an online request for an estimate. No one in the office 2 of 3 times I stopped by the shop in person - ?open? sign on. 
On my fourth phone call I managed to talk to Bill Hess, the owner, who said he could have someone there the next day. At least a week went by and when no one showed up, I called again - he had forgotten he talked to me.
When a crew finally came to weed the bed, they did a good job - the quality of the work is not in question. But when the bill came (only 2 days later!) there were two surprises. 
As a repeat customer, I would have appreciated a heads up on the $5 an hour increase in rates and the new $40 ?disposal fee.? We?d hoped to set up a regular weeding schedule but that fee really jacks up the price.
Almost 2 weeks after the job was done I got an e-mail from Bill Hess asking me if anyone had talked to us about the weeding.

Jamie from choice came to our house and listened to what we wanted done. Not being garden savy, she planned a beautiful perennial bed that will have color all year. She sent me her ideas via email along with the descriptions of the plants. I swapped out one of her choices for a different type of bush. We made arrangements to have the work done between late May to mid June weather dependent. They were able to do the work on June 8th and and got everything done in one day. They did a beautiful job with the grading and perennial bed. The workers that came did a great job and worked through a rain burst. Jamie gave us instructions on how to care for the garden. The transaction went smoothly and we are very pleased with the result. The price charged was extremely reasonable compared to other bids we received.

We recently had a project done by Choice Landscaping. The service was
outstanding. Starting with Jamie's visit for a quote and right on through the
work that was done. My wife and I were very pleased with the outcome of the
project. We have gotten a lot of complements on our yard, and we make sure to
give the Credit where it is due. To Jamie and the crew at choice .

Initial contact was good although it took a couple of weeks to get quote. By that time we had decided to use another service.

Jamie was very patient with me and explained everything to me.  Once she knew what my end goal was, she was able to offer some wonderful suggestions that I would have never thought of on my own.  In the end the project consisted of top dressing a few areas, adding a much bed along the perimeter of my back yard along my fence and added shrubs that could tolerate the wet ground.  It took 3 workers about 4 hours to complete and I absolutely love it.  I would not hesitate to use Choice Landscaping for any future projects.

They came out and mowed weeds on all four sides of the house and three sides of my garage. They built a frame for me and filled it with soil and trimmed any bushes that required care. They removed the dead and winter damage branches and they also transplanted some raspberry bushes that moved from the front bed to the back of the side bed. They sprayed with herbicides and added about 2 yards of hardware mold to the planting beds. 
They were knowledgeable and understanding.

I recently had a patio put in and they added dirt to grade it to my existing lawn and then applied sod over top. I called them on Friday, they came for an estimate on Monday and had the job done for the agreed upon price by Tuesday. I had a couple of other estimates and although similar in price, choice landscaping was slightly lower and was able to do it the fastest. The owner called me today to make sure I was satisfied with the job and I was! They cleaned up so well had the work not been done I would have never known they were here. I will definitely use them again.

Choice Landscaping was good to work with and reasonable in price.
Choice was responsive and we liked that the company owner checked in with us after the work was complete. 
We would use Choice again.

Their service was alright. I would use them in the future.

They respond to your e-mails and phone calls promptly because in the fall we have them do some extra clean up. They come every week and if there is rain in the forecast, they adjust their schedules for their clients. I think that is really nice. They also clean up and don’t leave a mess and are reliable. Their pricing is average.

They were very good and the job was well done.
