G&K Did a wonderful job on my roof. They did a complete tear off. With all new wood done also. The job was completed a month ahead of the date given. They arrived in the morning promptly at 7:30 the time they said the would. Worked through the day no wasted time. Completed the job and did a great job clearing up. Glen walked us through the whole project. And was very professional. On letting us know what we needed. There was no up sealing to make us do more than what was needed. Just a great company to have worked with.

Very well, the crew was right on the job and busy from the get go. It was like WOW, the roof looks wonderful. I couldn't believe they were in and out in I day. They had it cleaned up and looking better than when they arrived. Glenn was great , we needed extra work, he explained why, how much it would cost. They really improved what they found. The roof and all wood replace within a day. It is excellent job. The owner answer all the question and walk me through the process how to start and how to get it done. There is no headache at all.

How did it go? Worst experience I've ever had, just trying to get a quote. The man I talked to (or really just listened to), was not the least bit interested in anything I had to say. When I tried to explain my situation to him, in between his constant interruptions, he just kept telling me over and over again how I had already screwed up the whole process. When I suggested he maybe just listen a minute, he talked right over me. And here's what I find most revealing about this company. After I told him his company was one quote I was gathering out of four additional companies, he said he was no longer interested in the work. I can tell you from experience, the sham companies are the companies that don't like competing with other companies for quotes. Doesn't even want to compete for quotes! I don't know if he does good work, but he was insulting and unprofessional, and I wouldn't have been able to work with someone that rude.

They were fast, courteous and professional. I was impressed with the way they not only explained everything in detail but also showed me a couple issues with the roof that they were able to correct in order to prevent future water damage. They also did an amazing job cleaning up when they were finished with the project.

Glenn and Karen took time to go over the whole process. No pressure to sign a contract. Worked with my insurance company to agree on the cost for the project. They were always available if I had questions or concerns, and pointed out some damage I wasn't aware of. Very helpful.The crew on the job was fast and efficient and left my home clear of any debris from the project. I would definitely work with them again.

Watch out for the terms and conditions of their contract... It’s very one sided in their favor. Cost of extra work is ridiculously expensive. Other contractors in town have better contract terms and charge less unforeseen conditions. Don’t sign anything that says “indemnify”.

We chose G&K Roofing and Remodeling Inc. to replace our roof based on the discussions we had after receiving the quote. Glen made sure to discuss the quote in detail and answered all the questions we had. Unlike other contractors that provided quotes Glen spoke to the technical aspects of the roof and project whereas other contractors left us with the impression that they were trying to up-sell us or didn’t fully address our concerns. This attention to the technical details of the roof were demonstrated when G&K performed the work. Glen took the time to go over in detail what repairs needed so we fully understood what work was going to be performed and the associated cost. Glen also took the time to go over other repairs and modifications that should be performed to improve the venting to the roof to increase the roof’s life. I found these discussions to be one of the most valuable aspects of working with G&K Roofing. G&K’s roofing crew was also very professional and considerate. Being in a city neighborhood space is limited but the crew made sure to keep the walkways and stairs to the porch clear so that we were able to easily come into and out of the house as needed. I will recommend G&K Roofing to others looking for a roofing contractor.

The work was done to our satisfaction in a very efficient manner. It was completed quickly and accurately. No detail was overlooked. Glen, the owner, inspected the final work and made adjustments to any area of concern. Well the work on the roof went extremely well considering the leaks and damage. Glen obviously has extensive experience and cares dearly about his workmanship, preparing the new roof to last a lifetime. Unlike auto repair shops, Glen brings you up on the roof, shows you what is underneath the torn off layers of shingles, and details any extra work that needs to be done. He is obviously a stickler for detail and ultimately cares most about the finished product. Quite bluntly, he is probably one of the few you will find that is completely honest, having a desire to give you peace of mind from a job well done. It is obvious that his crews approach the job with the same diligence, professionalism, and attention to detail that he portrays. If you decide to hire G&K, please know that they will do an outstanding job! They will likely schedule far ahead of the date they initially provide, will show up the day they say, end the day they say, and leave the premises as clean as when they arrived. And if like on mine, just before another inch of rain. Whew. My kitchen is dry :) Thank you G&K!

The crew showed up on time and ready to go to work, they performed all the work quickly and cleanly, making sure to check grounds for and materials left over or dropped in the yard off the roof. Walked around yard with magnet picking up any leftover nails. The job looked great. Glen & Karen were very helpful in choosing the perfect shingles for our home. The whole process was easy, and comforting to know we were dealing with someone who really knows his stuff and would deliver as promised. I would highly recommed this company to anyone needing a new roof.

My experience with G.&K. Roofing was impressive. The initial estimate from Glenn through the warranty, contract, and insurance were all explained thoroughly. I wasn't anticipating any work until sometime in May. Due to G.&K. Roofing in my area, Glenn was able to tag my roof onto his existing schedule. He communicated with me daily as the weather altered my start day. My roof was finished in April. The entire shingling job was organized and professional. Glenn explained the process beforehand. Glenn visited the work site several times while the work was in progress. I took advantage of a couple roof repair recommendations by Glenn before the new shingles were put down. Even the cleanup was thorough. I am very satisfied with my choice of G.&K. Roofing.

All went well beginning with the timely estimate, follow up pre-work contact, quality workmanship, and clean-up around the house after job completion. Communication before and during the work was clear, concise, and helpful.

It went very well and we would definately use them again. We had waited perhaps 2 seasons too long and and as a result knew that we would have to replace some of the ply wood below. Of course it was A LOT of the wood that needed to be replaced. Glen had told us every step of the way that this could very well happen but we were hoping for the best. Our estimate went up quite a bit; as he went over the job with my husband step by step I went in to see if I could get a small home equity loan( Raves to Sumit Credit Union too!) to finish the job and bye the time I came out he had the bill quite a bit lower. He understood our dilema showed us extactly what we could wait on and what had to be replaced today.We very much appreciated that he understood our situation and was wiling to work with us but still let us know that it needed to be done and soon. Due to the weather the job had to be postponed a few days but Glen checked in with us each night. When the weather cleared the team showed up on time and ready to work. They finished in one day which I was surprised about as I watched our neighbor's roof being repalced this sumer and that seemed to take 2 plus days and their home is smaller than ours. The roof looks a million times better, the yard looks great as they did a wonderful job cleaning up and even picked up sticks that fallen on our deck due to recent storms. Not only was Glen professional; constantly checking up on his crew thoughout the day; he was very kind and patient when we had to scramble to find some extra funds. A plus!

The crew arrived about ten minutes before seven am and were hard at work by seven. They completed the whole project in 4 1/2 hours. Have never had such a hardworking crew for any household projects. A previous roof we had done by Gand K was complimented for its workmanship and stability by an insurance adjuster that assured me he'd seen many roofs in his career and that roof was already ten years old at that time. It was a no- brainer to choose Gand K for this project. The estimate was right on...no hidden costs...no surprises other than the hardworking crew! We signed the contract on 7/25 and had the roof in place within a month.

Glenn performed the original estimate and met with me to review and go over the contract details. He actually made me read through the entire contract to make sure I understood what was included in the original estimate and what would be additional for repair of roofing boards, etc. Keep in mind most re-roofs will need some type of repair once the boards are exposed, and/or replacement of flashing to bring up to code so be prepared for additional $$ on top of the original estimate. Glenn spelled out the costs per repair/replacement ahead of time and actually brought me up on the roof to allow me to see the suggested repairs and approve them. For that reason, you will want to be home the day they come to do your roof. The above cost includes the $$ for the additional repairs. Good communication on scheduling and were flexible to work around my schedule. The crew was very efficient and hard working. They showed up early and got right to it. I had some container plants on the back patio that they already had carefully moved out of harm's way before I could get back there to do it myself. They were done in a day and before 4pm and the yard was spotless afterward. Materials were of high quality with outstanding warranty.

Went very well overall, I was just shocked at what bad shape my roof was in ( rotted wood, warped wood, discovered upon tearoff.) Everyone was polite and overall very professional. Cleanup was excellent too. Glen,the owner, does a full inspection of all work done and to make sure that the cleanup is top notch. I would definitely use this provider again if necessary ( but hope that my new roof lasts for a long time!) Carol Leitinger

The estimate that I received from G and K Roofing was very competitive compared to estimates that I received from 3 other roofing companies that are also listed here. G and K Roofing was not the lowest estimate (almost), but I had seen them working on a home in the neighborhood last year and was impressed with the material removal and how quickly (one day) the job was completed. I had met with Karen to get the project going by signing the contract and making half of the payment. At the contract signing, it was stated in the contract that they would have my house roofed by the last week of August. This was understandable to me since they had to fit me into their workload. To my surprise, a few days after I signed the contract, Glenn called me and stated that they were going to try to roof my house, weather permitting, on Monday, June 3rd. This was great news as it sooner than what I had anticipated. Sunday June 2nd, Glenn contacted me and confirmed that they would at my place on Monday morning. Monday morning his crew was on my roof at 7:30. After the roof tear off was completed Glenn showed me an area that would need a wood patch replacement. The wood patch was installed and the roofing job was completed by 2:00 p.m. After the roof was completed, Glenn showed me the new valleys that were installed and also offered to have me come onto the roof. Glenn also made sure his crew didn’t leave any mess behind. If not for the new roof, you wouldn’t have known they were even there. The estimate for the roof project was right on target and I’m very pleased with the work that was done. In the whole process from start to finish, I feel that I worked with professionals, who also ensured that the work that was being done was to the highest standard. Anyone who needs to have a roof fixed or replaced should contact G and K Roofing.

I contacted the provider early in the spring and as soon as the snow was off of the roof and it was safe he came out and wrote me an estimate. I decided to use his services and we got together to go over the contract. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions honestly and in detail. The weather wasn't too cooperative this spring but I was satisfied with his effort to get my roof done as soon as possible. The crew came the morning as promised and the old roof was off by the time estimated and after a personal inspection with the provider we decided that some extra work needed to be done. We adjusted the contract to include the extra work specified. A little more than I had hoped but not an unreasonable amount. The crew was courteous and hard working and did a great job of clean up too and the roof looked great! When I talked to him a little before they were done he said he had found a few more things that needed to be done but he didn't charge me extra for the added work. You can't ask for more than that!
