Project was a terrible experience and total cost was almost 300 percent of projected project cost, far more than the value of incremental changes. Builder would not supply interim bills, only one massive and shocking bill. Project took 6 months+ and could have taken 3 months. It was a terrible experience. Contractor never noted an hourly rate when project setup but was apparently charging hourly unbeknownst to owners! Owners had to repeat requests and wishes numerous times as contractor often wanted and nearly insisted on inferior materials. In some cases, custom cabinets were nstalled with inferior materials contrary to original conversations. Plumber overbilled contractor and breached their agreement and costs were not managed by general contractor.
