As I said above, the landscaping work was solid. However, I want to review them for a job NOT done.
We never had hired them for snow clearing, because we never needed a snow clearing service ... until circumstances for us made this necessary. I emailed my rep to see if they would provide this service, and they refused, saying we were "too far north." I thanked them, then called my neighbor to find out who the neighbor hired. Sure enough, it was La Rosa! So I called back and said, Hi, I just found out you clear my neighbor's driveway... why can't you clear mine? And they basically said no, we don't want to take on new clients in this service. New clients!? We had spent over ten grand with them?and we had lots more work still to do?but they apparently have the luxury of turning people away whenever they want. So we took our business somewhere else. All of it.
Even before we managed to hire them, they took MONTHS to respond to our original request (we had all but forgotten that we had reached out to them for services). But we ultimately did hire them.
Bottom line: You see La Rosa Landscaping trucks all over the fancy lawns of Mequon. Which means, they don't need your business (unless you're in one of those giant mansions, too), and they act like it. Smaller jobs get the snub.

We also had them provide electrical work in the new area as well as a front driveway light. We told them the line had been cut by a previous contractor. We said they should reconnect it only if their was electricity to it. Their electrician said the line was a working line. So we said go ahead. But it has never worked. Then he said that didn't mean it had electricity. So la rosa cited their contract saying they don't guarantee existing lines. However, that was why we wanted them to check it before starting. Now the electrician does respond. We are stuck paying for what should have been done originally.
I'm no electrician, but when they say it's a working line it should work.

We worked with Dan Western and could not be more complimentary of him or LaRosa's crew. They was here pretty much every day for two months and always very professional and considerate.  We are thrilled with the results and the service they've provided ever since.

While redoing a backyard concrete patio, we discovered that rain water from the downspouts was flowing towards the house and under the existing concrete patio. Before we put in the new patio, we wanted to fix the problem to avoid future "frost heave" issues with the concrete.
La Rosa recommended we install an elaborate drainage system under the concrete before it was pored. The recommendation consisted of a number of PVC pipes and drains installed in the concrete that would connect to a PVC pipe running across the yard approximately 50 feet. That system installed was to cost $2234.86.
Before the work was done, La Rosa changed their recommendation and did away with the elaborate drainage system under the patio and decided that a single PVC pipe going the 50 feet and connected to a downspout was all that was needed. They used a machine to dig the trench and lay the pipe. Took about 4-5 hours. Several pipe and concrete drains were eliminated from the design.
I made the mistake of not getting an updated quote for the revised design before the work was done. I fully expected new price to be at most about half of the $2234.86. Instead La Rosa took approximately $200 off the bill. Much of the original design was eliminated in the revised plan and the bill was reduced by about 9 or 10%.
Great quality but get everything in writing!

It was great and they're excellent. He was very personable, very professional and they do quality work. From the past, they were a little higher but because of the quality of work, they were worth it.

I don't remember when my wife hired LaRosa this year or when LaRosa came out to do the spring clean-up for flower beds around the house this year. There was a rain delay earlier this year. However, I remember the inconsistencies with the heights of the trimming of the plants after they were done. Some of those same plants didn't come back up this year including the taller decorative grasses. Of couse I cannot prove that LaRosa is the reason why the plants didn't come back. But I don't think it's a coincidence either. On a positive note, Ben does a good job with the estimates though they come back a little high. Based upon my perception of the quality of the flower bed clean-up, I cannot hire them again.

They are very good. They are quick and clean. They do an excellent job. I asked them for an estimate on mulching while I was out of town and they sent me an email from google earth showing my house and outlined the areas they are going to mulch. I liked that a lot.
