Description of Work: A freind in his mid 70's hired this company to re-roof his house. Wenger came and re-roofed his house. That winter there was a build-up of ice at the roof edges which then damed and directed the melted water through the roof. The water ran down the inside walls. We had just as bad of winters before this and experienced no leaks, even as bad as the old roof was. Upon examination it was fond that the gutter flashing was placed above the ice and snow sheild at the roof edges. This alowed for the water to run under the gutter flashing and down the inside walls. Wenger refused to do anything about it. The shingle company was contacted and they agreed that Wenger was at fault. The Company found out that Wegner had used faulty shingles and they agreed to supply new shingles and pay for the installation cost. Wegner Company still would not work with either the shingle company or the customer. Another roofer came in and applied the new shingles. We had another bad winter since the new roof and no leaks. The new company also pointed out that Wegner put a center roof vent accross the peak of the house, but had not cut the peak so air could escape. Upon cutting the peak, it was fond that there was only 6" of insulation in the upper portion of the house. Insulation was added. Now the heat bill had also gone down after the cold winter.
