T. LaRue Painting & Staining Co.

T. LaRue was so bad we actually had to take him to small claims court and we won! We hired him to stain and varnish our new homes interior wood doors. He sent his teenage son and son's friend to stain our doors. They used paintbrushes and ended up splattering stain all over our newly painted walls and wood/tile floors. We told the Mr. LaRue to stop all work however he had the nerve to let himself in our home while we were at work to continue staining. The only way we knew he was in the house was our teenaged son came home and found him. We told him we would have him arrested for trespassing if he ever came back again and we took him to court to recoup our money. The judge reviewed our pictures of his work and even stated she was shocked that he was still in business due to his poor workmanship. Stay clear!! This guy's terrible.

He did an excellent job. He cleaned up, came when he said he would, and even finished a little earlier than expected. I would highly recommend him and I would definitely hire him again.

There were some delays in starting the job due to weather and scheduling. When they started they completed the whole job in about 5 days. They were very responsive to our requirements, and did a great job quickly. They removed shutters and downspouts and lights to paint under them, and replaced them correctly when done. There was very little over spray on our shrubbery, and no serious damage to any of our plantings. The crew was friendly and courteous.
Over all we were extremely happy with the job, and would be happy to recommend them to others or hire them again for another job.

Everything went very well. It took 2 months for them to get to us, but worth the wait.

The two painters arrived exactly on time and got to work quickly. They did a good job on both rooms and I am satisfied with the quality of their work. Both rooms were completed in 3 hours.

As LaRue dealt with the general contractor, I had no contact with them. However, their work was sloppy, with a lot of overspray of paint onto hardwood trim and windows, and a mediocre job at best of exterior siding and trim staining. That new section of the house is now again in need of staining, only 12 years after LaRue completed their work.

Everyone was very friendly and professional. They had very reasonable and low rates. The work has turned out beautifully.
