SB Quality Construction

Had several timbered retaining walls that were rotten and falling apart. I removed the timbers and excavated for the footings. Brought in Sand B at that point, gave them a drawing and they took it from there. They were fast, although I was only interested in finishing before Winter.
They are very quality-focused, and know what they are doing. We discussed some modifications after getting started, and they were happy to oblige at no extra cost.. This was a large and complex job requiring 3 guys over several weeks. For all the labor involved, I believe the price is very reasonable. Clean up was excellent.

First of all they were flexible in timing to work around my concerns about the lawn being too soft after recent rain.They were on site all or part of three days, arriving at job site before 7am. Steve Ball is the owner of SB Construction. He is very polite and professional and down to earth. He was easy to work with to discuss options. His two assistants, Rich and Tyler, were very friendly, polite and professional.The patio work at the rear of the house required very delicate skid-loader work because of the tight area and work right next to the house. Rich was excellent in doing that.I had my own ideas for design of the patio addition, but they came up with a different plan that was far superior. They were sure to get my approval prior to proceeding.Their finish work is top notch. Good cleanup and "repair" of disturbed lawn.They do not advertise, nor are they in the yellow pages. They get their work through referrals.I learned of them from Steve Thompson Carpentry. Steve has done two major window replacement projects for me and is top notch. Because of my trust in him, I used him for a referral to SB Construction.SB does glass block, foundations, brick work, cultured stone, sidewalks, driveways, garages, basements and patios.
