Description of Work: I had a wonderful conversation with John Kessler today. He is a craftsman and knows his stuff. I inquired about the opportunity to purchase antique grandfather clocks and sought out his advice. In the process of him making his explanations, I also inquired about his service fees. His fees to maintain my clocks is below what I pay now, and his quality (based on how he describes his work) will be better. And, for a complete overhaul, his fees are extremely competitive and again, the process is quite thorough. I actually look forward to engaging his services.

 + -1 moreI have tried several times to reach someone at this local clock repair shop. Either the phone just rang without being answered, or when I left messages (several), there was no return call. I no longer attempt to do business with this service provider because they do not seem to care about obtaining my business or even basic customer service.
Description of Work: No services were performed due to no return call.

 + -1 moreVery prompt and professional service. He showed my husband the worn out parts in the old mechanism.
Description of Work: Mr. Kessler came to the house to diagnose why our antique Grandfather's clock stopped running. He diagnosed the problem as worn-out mechanism--30 years from a mechanism that should last 20. He ordered a replacement mechanism that is identical to the original, set the timing at his shop, and returned to install it.
