"We never agreed to replace the whole back of your roof on your home as you demanded. In my first visit, you pointed to the problem area where your house meets your sunroom. Upon inspection, we found it was a mix of shingles, tar, flashing and metal roof. To solve the problem we applied a silicone membrane to encapsulate the entire area. Between cleaning, prep, and multiple applications, my crew was on site for 3 separate days. I even did as you demanded and climbed up on the roof to spray down the area. After 10 minutes of using a hose on the area, you informed me that I should stay up there for another 5 minutes spraying. I accommodated your wishes, unable to replicate the problem, expanded the spraying to other parts of the roof that we were not under contract for and only then were we able to find a few drips. It was at that time that you said that you would "make my life hell" if I didn't fully reimburse you for the job that we were contracted for and completed the work on. I do extend courtesy and manners to all of my customers and always treat everyone as my equal. I am happy to do work for people who I feel share my ethics and values which is why I was unwilling to provide you with an estimate on the entire roof. Although we have a very different interpretation of our exchange, I hope you find a contractor that will meet your needs."
