PROACTIVE EXTERIORS INC

For starters my shingles sat at my house for 2-3 weeks before he even came out, then he brings out a dumpster that he left at our house for weeks and then he brought a truck etc.. They didn't just come out and get started it was piece by piece. I wanted him to bring his crew, all of the materials and get the job done, but that didn't happen. He first had to re-deck the whole back of my house to make the roof fit, which he promised would make the home look better. In the process of ripping off the roof he told us the drip edge of the gutter were damaged, while they were taking the drip edge off the fascia started coming off and the the soffits also got damaged as well. We only planned on the roof, now we have to repair the gutters, soffits, fascia, etc., all because he claimed he couldn't do the roof before he did all of this other work. A comedy or errors. The gutters didn't match the soffits and the soffits didn't match the gutters. So after all of this he began putting on the roof; shingles, ice shield, etc.. They worked for a few days and finally completed the job. Well, it starts raining after that and my roof begins leaking because the stepbrother didn't seal up the end of our home because he had to leave, so water was coming in and it caused a lot of damage. He apologized and we had to do another clean up because they didn't do there work right. After they are supposedly done with my roof, I noticed little white splotches on my roof that I thought were packing materials from the shingles. Turns out it is caulk that he had put on the tops of exposed nail heads! We have had issues with the gutters and the roof ever since this work has been done. This was in Aug of 08 and the project dragged all thru the summer. This was an awful experience, I don't know what he was thinking. He wants payment for the gutters and they still leak and so does the roof. I told him I wasn't going to pay the remaining $6,000 he says I owe him for the gutters. This has been going on since Oct 08 up until now. I still have trouble with the work, he has not done the repairs he promised and now he sends me a letter threatening to take me to court!!! Update:LEAKS Never resolved ROOF The entire roof needs to be redone per the manufacturer. I feel that the company and the inexperienced workers hired who do the majority of the work are not trained enough to do the job correctly or I would not be in this situation. Trim I am also looking at the gutters, fascia, and soffits leaking with scratches, dents, and large gaps all around my house also needing to be completely redone. RIDGE VENT We also have gaps in the ridge vent (not meeting mfg.installing specifications) that need to be redone. We are not even mentioning other property damage that took place during this roofing job or the fact that my neighbor complained when her children were watching a workman go to the bathroom behind our shed. Very unprofessional!
