They did an excellent job. I found them on Angie's List and we had like three quotes and theirs was in the middle and the guy was just very personable. They had a crew of 15 guys and they were up on that roof. I thought that it was going to collapse because there were so many people but the whole thing was done in two and a half hours and that includes going to the store and buying 30 sheets of plywood because the decking had to be replaced. It was amazing and it was perfect. They delivered on everything that they promised. The guy went over everything including the extra wide covering for the indents and it was kind of a rain catch-all. They put one of those top of the roof vent things on and everything that the guy said that would be done was done. I think that their price was reasonable and the work that they did looks great. Once in a while, a roofing nail drops off but that happens no matter what. Their responsiveness was also good. I would absolutely use them again in the future but we would not have to because they gave us a lifetime guarantee as long as we own this house. Of course we are 60-plus years old so I am sure that we will wear out before the roof does. I mean, it is not like we are 40 and the roof will last for 50 years.

I went to work in the morning and came home that night and all was done! Like they never came, so clean and perfect.

--Original Review Some what disappointed for a company with such good reviews. I left a voice mail on 7/31/2014 to get an estimate for some roof repair that I needed to have done. Here I sit on 8/5/2014 and have not yet received a call back. -Updated Review After posting the original review I received a call from the company right away the next morning apologizing for the error and stating that they had no record of my original call. They asked if they could set up an appointment to come out and at first said no and hung up. After a few min I decided to call back and give them a chance. They came out and looked at the problem I called for and then looked at the rest of the roof. They explained what they found and gave me some recommendations. They also answered all the questions that I had. They provided an itemized quote very quickly. Glad I decided to give them another chance. Not saying that they will get the job as I am getting multiple quotes but still glad I let them come out and give me their opinion on my roof.

They put the roof on very quickly. We noticed in one area that there is a slight leak. He said someone else came back. When spring came around we noticed it was a bigger problem. He said that the leak was due to a problem with the chimney. He did work around the chimney & he won’t acknowledge any problem at all. I felt as if he just wanted additional money. I don’t want anyone else to experience problems we’ve experienced.

I had a "stormchaser" come to my home about a month after we had some hail. He told me we could get a new roof paid for by our insurance company (minus our deductible) based on the damage he saw. Before I called my insurance company I wanted to have a company I trusted come out and inspect my roof. Over the Top informed me that my roof was fine, and that I had another 5 to 7 years left before I needed to replace it. They said, "don't get me wrong, we'd love to do your roof, but honesty comes first." I really appreciate that. I will definitely keep them in mind when our roof does need replacing.

They've been good. They came out in a very unpleasant weather to start their project. The roof didn't turn out right. We called and they came out. They looked at it and they redid it. So far, so good. It looks great. They're a good company. They're responsive and they did everything they needed for us. They were number one with the pricing. It worked out fine.

The person came out for the estimate and seemed friendly. I never heard back from the company again after that. After posting my review, I received an immediate phone call from Rick, the owner of the company. He was very professional and apolgetic for the lack of response for our requested quote. Rick sincerely wanted to help us out and offered several ways to make amends. I have upgraded my overall score for this company due to his immediate and sincere response, however, we did not hire them as the work was already completed.

Working with this company was worry free. Dave arrived to complete an estimate on time. He was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all of our questions. The work was fairly priced and completed in an orderly fashion. The work area was kept clean and the workers were careful not to damage our landscaping. Dave kept us informed each step of the process. He recommended removal of our chimney and we are very glad we took his recommendation. He also went out of his way to find a vent cover that matched the color of other venting on our home despite this item being difficult to find. We held of on a review of the work until we felt confident the work done held up as promised. It definitely has. You will not regret working with this company.

Tom was great with a quick quote and great communication. Work was done very quickly and came in under budget. Will definitely use them again as they do great work and have integrity.

Fantastic. James was so thorough in the upfront sales process that it left too many unanswered questions with the other estimates we received to go with anyone but Over The Top! He was the only one who looked in the attic to get a better view of what we were dealing with from the inside. The proposal was also far more thorough and specific to our house's unique needs than any of the others. The price was competitive for our large roof -- a little higher than our other estimates, but I am not 100% sure it was apples to apples based on the thoroughness of their proposal and commitment to replace certain pieces (versus put old pieces back up to cut corners). They worked with us on price as much as possible to make it work. Once we accepted the proposal, he was there for us throughout the process. We were pleasantly surprised with the speed of the project--most people estimated a week and they put several crews on it to get it done in ONE day (gutters the next day, on a Saturday!) because heavy rain was forecasted. The crew was great and the roof & gutters look really nice. When there was a gutter adjustment needed they made it right asap at no additional charge. We have very high standards across project management, quality of work and customer service post-sale and we are happy. Thanks to the whole team!

Installed new Mule-Hide rubber membrane on flat roof. We identified a few minor issues. Contractor made repairs and provided 20 year warranty. Overall finished job was done well. I would recommend this contractor.

I called them for an estimate for a roof. Told me they would be out either Monday or Tuesday. They never showed up or called that they couldn't make it. They called the next day and wanted to know if I was still interested in an estimate. I told them no. If they can't keep their appointments or at least call to reschedule than I can't trust them to do a good job or even show up to do the work when they should. Very disappointed in this company and could not recommend them.

THERE WAS AN ACCENT BALL THAT THEY REMOVED AND COULDN'T REPLACE BUT OFFERED IF I EVER FOUND A REPLACEMENT MYSELF FOR THE ACCENT BALL - THEY WILL PUT ON ROOF FOR US.

The Over The Top roofing team was great!! They were quick to return my initial call, to stop by and provide an estimate, and then to schedule the job and complete the work. The project was priced very competitively when compared with others. The post-project clean up was very well done -- would hardly know that they were even here. They also provided me with before and after photos of the repair work since it was on the 3rd floor of our house where it is otherwise impossible for me to check the work. I am very satisfied and will use them again in the future.

They did a good job. I had a small leak and they promptly came back and fixed. They were able to get the entire job done in about a day and a half.

Exceptional. I had a concern about the heating cables that are on the roof that I brought to their attention after we had a snowfall. The management said they will come out in the spring to take a look and offered to replace my heating cables. I appreciated that he took the initiative to offer that to me. They also took initiative on my roof to install the heating cables and a vent. They went over and above what they were contracted to do and they were willing to stay around longer to complete the extra work. They even cleaned up the interior of my garage of all debris that fell from the roofing work.

My in-laws used Over the Top Roofing after we found them on Angie's List. They were prompt in returning phone calls and in scheduling the work. We went with this company because they were the only ones who went up in the attic to look at the roof from the inside to determine the scale of the work necessary. They were also the only company that could/would do the work on the chimney AND the roof. All other companies we contacted could only do one or the other. On the day the job was to begin, an army of workers arrived. They tore off the old roof, repaired the chimney and replaced the roof, cleaned up and were gone in two days. Overall, we are very pleased with the work and would use this company again.

We had to replace our roof due to age and the fact that the prior company had improperly installed our roof, using three nails rather than six to secure the shingles. We had patches on our roof which were missing shingles. Due to the onset of cold and wet weather, we could not wait until spring to have the work done. Tom came to our house and gave us a very complete explanation of the work that had to be done, what could be done and what it would cost. I appreciated the detailed proposal and contract which he provided to us. After the negative experience with our previous roofer, I was quite concerned about this job. Tom took the time to try and ease my concerns. The job was scheduled for two days, one for the roof, the second for the gutters. Despite the weather, the job was completed in that time. The workers were hardworking, polite and dedicated to getting the job done right. When I stepped out to see what was happening, someone was always present to make sure I did not get hurt or step on a nail. They came prepared to work and let our property very clean. Unfortunately, we did lose three plants during the roofing. Although it was noted on the contract, accidents do happen. We have resolved the issue of the damaged plants. I do not include this incident as a negative comment, but rather to demonstrate that even when things went sideways, Tom, the foreman and this company accepted responsibility and worked out an immediate resolution. As for the price, it is hard to say whether this is too high. Tom did provide us with all the discounts available; and, quite frankly, we have a beautiful roof, gutters which do not require us to climb ladders to clean; and a lifetime warranty on the roof. All in all, I believe it is a fair price. This is a company that understands and delivers on customer service and a quality product.

Once started no problems occurred and job was finished on time at estimate. Aside from needing to deal with the sales manager in place of the head office to get scheduling information, I would recommend the firm. If one wants a steel roof, they are one of the few on Angie's List which was my main search criterion. Highly recommended!

Perfection. Everyone was nice and on top of the job. They started at 7 am and were gone by 5 pm. They were extremely careful not to damage anything on my property and went out of their way to pick up all nails and debris with large magnetic rollers. I felt very secure in letting my 4 year old play outside once the job was completed!!! Just a great crew who cares about your needs and expectations!!! A+++++++++++++

The whole process went very well. Quote was very complete and James (point of contact) followed up on the quote. Lead time given was met. Crew arrived on time and the complete job was completed in one day. Job included removal of 2 layer of old shingles and repair of some rotten wood. New work included install of 2 roof fans, 2 vents for bath/kitchen fans, new metal (chimney was a lot of work) and of course new shingles. James was there at the start and finish of job. Brad (?), the quality control person, also came twice during the day to check the job. The crew totaled 12 workers. Everyone was very polite and professional. I was allowed on the job and all my questions/inquiries were completely addressed. Clean up was very good. The final product/service looks great. Of course only time can tell if there will be leaks but based on what I can see my confidence is high the roof will protect the house many years. Would highly recommend this contractor for roofing.

They did a fantastic job, held to their bid, and now I have a high quality roof I can count on for decades to come.
