Dave's plumber arrived just 45 minutes later and in less than an hour had cleared the blockage in the drain pipe under the basement floor. This emptied the stationery tubs. He then snaked the drain from the stationery tubs just to be sure they were completely clear also. Super friendly, professional, hard-working young man. Super service. Note: hourly rate and travel charge were both significantly less than other plumbers I've called.

Dave of McCoy Plumbing of Brookfield was at my house withing 45 minutes of each call.  Installed ecopanel this afternoon so that I could honestly say it had been installed by a professionally incase this one goes bad also.  It only required three plugs to be properly plugged in.  That's all there is to tell.  The electric water heater was a Rheems, 50 gal. with a12 year warranty that short circuited and had a wire melt down and then started to leak.  Was given a replacement heater for free upon return of original heater to Menard's. The ecopanel on the replacement heater lasted 34 days before it died.  This time I needed an electrician and not a plumber.  Rheem's also offered me a 2nd replacement when it was determined that their warehouse was out of stock on the ecopanels.  Having to pay for a 2nd removal and installation of a 3rd heater would have added up to more than the original heater, but they can always say they offered.  Labor was only covered the first two years of the warranty and my original heater died after a little over four years.  If anything goes wrong again, I'd seriously consider a different brand.  You get what you pay for.

I called the week prior and scheduled an appointment first thing on Monday, at 8AM. I was hoping not to miss too much time at the office. Given that only a few days had passed from the time I called to schedule the appointment, and the actual appointment date, I assumed the plumber would arrive promptly. Unfortunately, the plumber did not show up as scheduled, and only after repeated attempts to contact the company was a plumber sent to my home. The company was apologetic, as apparently there had been a bit of a scheduling mix up. The plumber arrived shortly after 9AM. Once he was on the job, he quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue, and he was courteous and professional. I also felt the price was good, especially compared to previous plumbing work done by other providers. My only complaint is regarding the tardiness of my appointment. I would use McCoy Plumbing again, but maybe I would confirm my appointment the day before.

Our project is on track and within our budget.

Everything seemed to be going okay, until we got the bill! I had called David, the owner, on Friday to get a quote to install the new water heater. He told me that he would need at least $175 if he did it on Saturday. That is all he said. I tried to find out what his minimum charge was or hourly rate, but he just said he would need at least $175. We still thought that seemed high given that I read online that it could be done in about an hour. The guy came early, charged me for time that exceeded how long he was even at my house never mind the fact that he wasn't even working the entire time! We got a bill for $372.32. He could have worked faster and wasted less time. They charge a $45 trip charge and $113 per hour! Even if we paid the $175 (THAT I WAS QUOTED) plus the materials that came to about $60, the total would have only been $235. While I think I still would have been a little bit upset, I don't think it would have been so bad that I would file a complaint with the BBB and get a membership with Angie's for the sole purpose of making this report. And to top all this off, I called the city to see if the plumber took out the required permit for this job and found out that he didn't! I feel so ripped off that I'm hysterical about it. I will NEVER EVER use or refer this plumber again for as long as I live!!! I called the owner back after the plumber came back in the house after speaking with him to let him know how upset I was. He said he told me that it would be time and materials when he talked to me on Friday, which is a total lie! I am a very thorough and detailed person and trusted the quote he gave me because we had used them in the past. He said that he didn't know what they would be "walking in to" on the job and that he couldn't give a set quote like that, BUT HE DID and I trusted him. I told him I would never use or refer him again and he said, "Good luck with your next plumber." What a jerk and lying thief!!!

They were on time and on budget. The work cost what they quoted nothing more. It was a tough job and we were pleased with their work. Other plumbers estimated much more.

I was pleased with the work. The plumber arrived on time, seemed quite knowledgeable and completed the work quickly. He was meticulous about rechecking to make sure nothing leaked.

I WAS REALLY SURPRISED AND DISAPPOINTED. THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY IS VERY RESPONSIVE AND I WAS THINKING ABOUT TELLING HIM ABOUT THIS PERSON THAT HE HIRED.

HE IS VERY RELIABLE. IF I CALL THEY KNOW ME AND THEY RESPOND VERY PROMPTLY.

OF THE 5 PLUMBING COMPANIES I CONTACTED, MCCOY GAVE THE MOST COMPLETE INSPECTION FOR A FREE ESTIMATE (2 OTHER COMPANIES -ONE OF WHICH- WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR THE ESTIMATE!) MCCOY REQUIRED NO MONEY DOWN TO SCHEDULE THE WORK, WHILE THE NEXT BEST ESTIMATE WANTED 50% DOWN TO START. MCCOY ALSO LET ME USE THE ADVO COUPON AT PAYMENT TIME FOR AN ADDITIONAL $100 OFF THE SERVICE WORK (I DID NOT PRESENT IT AT THE TIME OF THE ESTIMATE). EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL WORK, JUST THE WAY I WANTED IT DONE.
