Robert came to check out the situation. He honestly told me that we didn't have a problem in our basement. We should check out the furnace/AC etc. We did a regular tune up to the furnace. And the problem is fixed. We appreciate Robert's honest professional opinion!!

McCoy Contractors were prompt, cheerful & courteous from the sales personal to the installation crew.
The installers placed 4' x 8' plywood sheets on the lawn as to not damage the grass from the repeated use of their front loader and back hoe machines. The work inside and outside the house was done very professionally. Any questions we had were answered to our satisfaction.
Would definitely recommend McCoy Contractors for your basement waterproofing.

Response from Mccoy Contractors Inc
"With all due respect this reviewer ... the project was said to have commenced 12 years ago and we have no record any issues. Quality workmanship and customer service over our 58 years and 20,000 projects is something we take VERY seriously at McCoy as our reviews and award winning reputation indicate. We remain available to reconcile any and all complaints irregardless of time. We ask that this review lodged from 12 years ago be absorbed by our patrons for its current face value as we can be a targets for competitive chicanery."

It went very well. The work they performed was excellent.
In mid November 2014 we had some serious water leakage in the basement. We found McCoy Contractors online and called them. They responded and were at our home within 24 hours. Bob D. assessed the situation using diagrams of the drainage system in basements to illustrate the problem and the repairs required. Foreman Mark along with Jeremy, Luke, Al, and Scott fixed the drain tile problem that caused the leakage. They were experienced, efficient, prompt, clean, and thorough. We could not be happier with the results! McCoy also provides a long term warranty on their work. Do not hesitate to contact them.

The company was pretty responsive. When I called for an appointment they came out right away. I did not like the way the salesman cut down the other bids I already had, show how good you are, not how bad somebody else is. I did not like that the salesman called me dear. The starting date was an estimate, I understood this because they have to deal with the weather.
When they started the job, the workers pretty much ignored me, they were not unfriendly but they were not friendly either. They did change the job twice after the bid. One change was that they were not going to replace my original block like they indicated because it was larger than normal, current block size. Amazingly, even though they did not replace 6 feet of brick, there was no price adjustment. The second change was that the drain tile that was previously installed was above the foundation and they would have to dig me a new sump pump crock. This cost me an extra $2,000 with the plumbing and electric. I feel they should have told me about this ahead of time as the first thing the salesman did when he entered my basement was to say "I see you had XXX do this before, they never go down to the foundation". They should have known this would be an issue that might come up and warned me about it ahead of time.
The slope of my yard is toward the house and the concrete they installed slopes away. This forms a "V" where water pools when it rains. I feel they should have installed some stone to help drain the water away, the foreman said that was not necessary. The water still pools there when it rains and I assume it will pool there when snow melts. It is not near the house but is still an annoyance.
After the job was done, I had to call them back because the lay of the cement lead the water away from a drain instead of towards the drain. They fixed this issue. I also had to call them to fix my asphalt parking area as the heavy machinery tore up a very large section. They fixed this issue.
It has been six months since the basement was finished, the basement is dry so far but I have seen a couple cracks in the new sidewalk - between the panels.

I found the workers to be on time, as neat as they could be for a very messy job. I found the subcontractors they used for the plumber and electrician were really good. They village building inspector was requesting to move all the pipes from the sump pump which would have cost me thousands more. McCoy and the Plumber worked hard to prove the inspector wrong so that they could use the existing pipe. I will be forever grateful.

It went very smooth for such a large project. The team was lead by Mark who was with them for the full 2 and 1/2 weeks. The entire crew was hard working and very professional. I immediately had a felling of trust and gave them the code to my home when i was not there. Mark took the time every day to update me on what they had done and what they would be doing. The Project Manager Bob was also available if needed.
The scheduling of the job was delayed due to weather and other conditions. Dan McCoy personally sent me a card apologizing for the delay and even included a $25 gift card from Pick n save.
When i asked other if they knew of any foundation repair companies, they all told me McCoy. They said you may find a cheaper contactor but that you get what you pay for.
My two Labs liked the team also. They are a good judge of people's character.
Great job McCoy and team.

Overall, we had a good experience. They did what they could without performing a major renovation. So far, the wall is still holding up.

They started in December and finished in February. They seemed to do a good job. They were the highest bid I got but they did the most complete service. The other companies I got bids from talked about only digging down to the cracks and not digging any further. McCoy dug all the way down around to the footings and put on a coating to help seal it. They also patched all the stones and put topsoil on that. It was twice the price but they did twice the work the first time instead of half the job at half the price like other estimates I got. They did a more complete job. There was not a sump pump there before. They put in stone where there had been clay when they put the topsoil on. The topsoil had really sunk and I called them two weeks later and they responded right away and put in more topsoil. I wouldn't use them again because we moved to Texas and we don't have basements here.

They are on time to the minute. They cleaned up when they were completed. The work was exactly what I had expected. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have this type of work done as I hope to never need them again!

Initially, the process went extremely well. McCoy was quick to come out, give an estimate, and perform the work quickly. However, the job is not complete, 2 months after they started, and they are not returning my phone calls or otherwise attempting to solve my issue. I have been calling constantly trying to get my screen delivered. They have promised on multiple occasions to deliver this screen, but have not shown up and are now not returning my calls. They had no problem accepting my full payment immediately, but they definitely have not lived up to their end of the bargain. The work they performed could have been much better, as well. Overall, I regret ever using this contractor.
Response from Mccoy Contractors Inc
"We deeply regret any delay in servicing this project up to expectations. There are sometimes no excuses for lack of prompt completion nor customer satisfaction. The screen delivery was delayed beyond what we deem acceptable as well. We appreciate this feedback and accept our responsibility for it."

I had Charles Weber Consulting inspect my basement before hiring McCoy. Therefore, I knew I was looking at around $13,500 for the basic work. The stoop was an extra $1,500. Thankfully, Mc Coy told me I did not need new interior drain tile (after I had hired them). I had to pay for the permit, and any complications such as electrical or plumbing work would have been on my dime. Mike Wilhelm had done some grading work for me 10 years before; he and his son even came out and dug up some shrubs. I felt he was an honest guy, and that went a long way with me. I signed the contract about 8 weeks before the work was done. The work took 5 days, and they did work. I worked from home several half days, to be around. They made every effort to accommodate my neighbor, on whose yard they had to drive the backhoe. Everything was put back the way they found it. They are experienced, and they know what they are doing. Todd was the foreman, and he is very experienced and knowledgeable.

From the cost estimator through the general manager of the project, to the workers, themselves, everyone was very thorough, considerate and professional plus they guarantee their work. This is very important in today's world.
