Rather than point this out--he wadded up a mass of paper towel and jammed it under the installed dishwasher, so that the leaking would not become evident until a few weeks later, when my licensed plumber checked out the unit. He was rude and uncommunicative during his visit. Would not give me any documentation about the services provided or the name of his subcontracting outfit. He had been contracted to install the DW on behalf of a Big Bx retailer. The retailer is stepping up to correct the problem. But this has been a huge headache, and appalling ethics. I got his name off the city's follow up letter as to who pulled the permit. The Big Box retailer has confirmed this business as its contracted installer. They promise to send a different individual to repair the install.
