Laszlo's Painting & Restorations

Laszlo's was excellent; best paint job I've ever experienced. Very neat, cleaned up well and even did some extra requests. Friendly, prompt, and trustworthy.

Laszlo started painting within 2 weeks of price estimation. This was great since other companies did not accept interior jobs during warm weather season. They gave suggestions for paint colors when asked. I changed my mind about the paint color of the great room while they were halfway done with the walls. They rolled with the flow and did not annoyed with my decision (which I was worried about). They added $200 for the extra work - which I felt was more than fair. They did miss a few spots on the kitchen ceiling (around 3 recessed lights). Since it would be quicker for me to do it instead of wait for them to come back, I decided to just paint it myself. It wasn't a big job, but given that I just paid them a large sum of money, it was unacceptable. Also, I assumed that they would fix the chipped window seat by stripping off the old paint. However, he just painted over the chipped paint. He did match the color perfectly to the existing window moulding, but it is not smooth as I expected. I guess I should have asked specifically about their process. I would have still hired him but would have just omitted the window seat part. I also had him remove the chair rails in the great room. Laszlo worked hard to make sure that you cannot see where the chair rails used to be (which was a difficult task in my case since the room had been previously painted several times. Laszlo had to plaster it multiple times and sand it down).

Went very well. Laszlo washed more of the exterior than what was originally planned and also varnished the living room door without additional cost.

Laszlo and Wendy came in subcontracted for our job. They were very professional about their work, showing up on time and informing us of the progress at every stage. It was quite obvious that they take pride in their work. Good clean work with a great attention to detail. We would definitely hire them again.
