work schedule was so efficient that this latest job was completed in just one day.
To this day, I still refer to Andrew Koch, owner of Koch Construction LLC, as and quot;my diamond in the roughand quot;. Yes, he is that
good!!! And, when I am ready for additional work to be done at my home (i.e., garage floor, driveway, patio, etc.), I will
hire him yet again. I love my contractor Andy. He is the best in the whole wide world and,,,,,and quot;you can put that in CONCRETEand quot;.
PS: Please DO NOT share review with my
neighbors on BAND of NEIGHBORS!!!!!!!!
Mr. Koch showed up promptly at the scheduled time for our initial estimate meeting. At this time, I made him aware that I had to wait for FEMA to evaluate and possibly assist with funding for this project. In addition, I expressed deep concern over the fact that I have an adverse physical affect from inhaling dry concrete and was most apprehensive about the work being proposed. He assured me that he would wait until FEMA completed their review and not to worry about the concrete fumes as he had a plan to alleviate my concerns.
Finally, after being most patient with me, Mr.Koch started the project on 5/20/2011 to install wall beams and replace drain tiles on the North and East basement walls. Before beginning the work, Mr. Koch was careful to cover up my carpeted basement steps where they would be walking while hauling up the old concrete and debris.
In accordance with his proposed plan, Mr. Koch implemented several precautionary methods which greatly reduced any hint of dry concrete irritant for me while he and his co-worker, Mr. Ben Koch, busted up the old concrete floor. He was also thoughtful enough to give me a pair of ear plugs to eliminate the loud noise of their tools.
The job proceeded nicely and I was thoroughly impressed that Andrew Koch, at the close of each working day, would sit down and discuss with me what had been accomplished and the plans that he had for the next day.
At one point, I declared Andrew Koch as a and quot;miracle workerand quot; when he discovered, while running a water flow test, that a significant blockage existed in an area which was not on our action plan. He willingly volunteered to address the problem promptly by adding this onto his work plan. He then cut open 3 feet of floor and found a rather large chunk of and quot;very old concreteand quot; which had been blocking the drain tiles along the West wall.
On new concrete pouring day, another member of his team, Mr. Paul Koch, arrived to assist. Mr. Ben Koch impressed me by washing down the floor and removing the stair wraps after all of the work was completed. The final clean up was superb. The final work was quality craftsmanship.
Koch Construction, under Andrew's leadership, executed a well-thought out plan and exhibited professional qualities throughout the entire project. I have never been so impressed with a contractor who listened, promised, performed and delivered such high quality work. (Yes, the owner did the work!!!)
Without hesitation, I would hire Koch Construction again for additional work in my basement based on their outstanding track record and qualities. In my eyes, Mr. Andrew J. Koch, the owner of Koch Construction, is truly and quot;A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGHand quot;!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
