We had only a couple of price quotes. No one was any more or any less than the other. We knew that this company has been in business for a long time, so we chose them. This guy was very polite and kind. He arrived on time and went right to work. He really seemed to know his trade. He had the entire project done in no time at all. He cleaned up his own mess as he went. We were very pleased with the final product.

We don't know exactly how much their services were as it was all paid to one bill to the main contractor. We had a pretty good experience with this company. The man who did the work was very polite. He came in and did his part of the job and then he left. We did talk to him for a little bit and he told us to call if we had any problems.

This company has very good products and does very good work. I'm pleased with everything. They actually had to come back twice because the first time we were in 8th short with the unit. It was no biggie and did not seem to bother me to much. I am still pleased with the outcome of this job and have no intentions on being displeased with the company at all.

Dennis came out within several days of calling for a walk-through to prepare the estimate for the odd jobs. He showed up on time and was helpful throughout in explaining different options for certain jobs. As promised, he mailed a written estimate within a few days of his visit. The estimate was provided as a lump sum and did not itemize the various jobs;thus, I called Dennis to ask him to break down the total so that I could better compare the quotes I was getting. I left a message but my call was never returned. I attempted to call back a week or so later but the phone just kept ringing. I would have considered using Kane, but after such a lack of response I gave up on them. I will not try contacting them again for any future work.

I am very pleased with Kane Electric!! Dennis was able to come out within an hour of my call. He was very polite. He was able to locate the short in a timely manner, and get it repaired. They are reasonably priced. I will use Kane Electric for all my electrical needs.

They fixed it all rapidly, professionally, and at an excellent price!

Ed and Justin were great! They were on time and very friendly, and very professional. We are thrilled with our ceiling fan. We were charged within in the price range which had been quoted over the phone. We would definitely use Kane Electric again.

Was quick to arrange a meeting to do estimate. Sent estimate as promised, but never followed through. We sent signed agreement to him and didn't hear back even after we tried calling. We did this for about one month and finally we called to cancel the contract.

I've had Kane do some previous work and each and every time, including this time, they have been punctual, thorough, and have done a great job. I always feel that Dennis is very straightforward with me. He is also great at offering suggestions and alternatives, and I think Kane is extremely fair.

Did a very nice job as the ceiling fan was not as straightforward as one would have thought with a three way switch. The workmen told me the issues and figured it out and did a great job.

I give Kane Electric a high recommendation. Workers showed up on time and completed the job as specified in the bid. I was very happy with the work.

WORKERS WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

WE HAD A FEW SCHEDULE COMPLICATIONS. THE FIRST TIME I SCHEDULED THE WORK I TOOK THE DAY OFF TO HAVE THIS AND SOME OTHER REPAIRS DONE. I CAN'T REMEMBER WHY, BUT KANE HAD TO CANCEL. THEN I THOUGHT HE WAS COMING ON A WEEKNIGHT AT 6 PM TO INSTALL THE OUTLETS, BUT FOUND OUT HE ONLY INTENDED TO LOOK AT WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. I ENDED UP DELAYING THE WORK BECAUSE I FOUND OUT THAT I'D ALSO HAVE TO HAVE AN ELECTRICAL LINE RELOCATED IN ORDER TO HAVE THE BASEMENT WALLS BRACED. THE BASEMENT CONTRACTOR WAS A LITTLE UNPREDICTABLE, SO I ENDED UP NOT BEING ABLE TO GIVE KANE MUCH ADVANCE NOTICE. MIKE CAME AND DID THE WORK WITH ONLY A FEW DAYS NOTICE. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH HIS WORK. HE ALSO INSTALLED TWO LIGHT FIXTURES THAT HAD NOT BEEN ON MY ORIGINAL LIST OF WORK I NEEDED DONE.

ARRIVED ON TIME FOR QUOTE AND TO PERFORM WORK. FAST, PROFESSIONAL. CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

KANE WAS FAST TO RESPOND TO OUR REQUEST TO CHANGE OUR ELECTRIC SERVICE. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY WERE THE CHEAPEST OF 4 COMPANIES WE HAD QUOTE THE PRICE, AND THEY ALSO POINTED OUT AN ISSUE WITH THE LOCATION OF OUR WASHER & DRYER IN RELATION TO THE FUSE BOX.

THE DAY I CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT SOMEONE WAS IN OUR AREA AND CAME BY TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE BEFORE SCHEDULING. EVERYONE I DEALT WITH AT THE COMPANY WAS FRIENDLY AND THEY WORKED FAST WHEN THEY CAME TO DO THE WORK. THE WORK THEY DID SEEMS FINE BUT THEY SHOWED UP A HALF HOUR LATE, LEFT A BIG MESS IN MY BASEMENT AND THEN OVER BILLED ME BY $60.00. IF YOU HIRE THEM RECORD THE TIME THEY WERE THERE WORKING BECAUSE THEY ADDED AN EXTRA HALF HOUR OF LABOR CHARGES TO BOTH WORKERS THAT CAME TO THE HOUSE. WHEN I CALLED ABOUT IT THEY TRIED TO TELL ME IT WAS ADDED TRAVEL TIME WHICH THEY ORIGINALLY TOLD ME I WOULDN'T BE CHARGED FOR.

THE DID A GREAT JOB. THEY ARE DEPENDABLE, TIMELY, AND THOROUGH.

RETURNED MY PHONE CALL PROMPTLY - THE NEXT DAY. MADE THE APPOINTMENT FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK. ARRIVED ON TIME AND WAS VERY FOCUSED ON DOING THE JOB. THE LIGHT REQUIRED SOME TYPE OF SPECIAL ADJUSTMENT. THEY KNEW HOW TO INSTALL IT PROPERLY AND COMPLETED THE JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER. I WAS QUOTED APPROX. $60 FOR THE JOB, BUT WAS SURPRISED TO SEE AN ADDITIONAL $25 TRUCK CHARGE FEE. THIS WAS NEW TO ME. I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE EXPLAINED THIS.

I TALKED TO DENNIS KANE FROM KANE ELECTRIC ON TUE. DEC. 14TH AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE AN ELECTRICIAN OVER ON WED. DEC. 15TH AT 2:30 PM. THE ELECTRICIAN NEVER SHOWED UP AND I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. I HAD LEFT DENNIS TWO MESSAGES ON WED. MORNING AT WORK TO LET HIM KNOW ON TUE. EVENING THE DINING ROOM CEILING LIGHT HAD BECOME A PROBLEM ALSO, TO CALL ME. I HAD LEFT DENNIS TWO MESSAGES WHEN I GOT HOME FROM WORK ON TUE., TO LET HIM KNOW I WAS HOME AND THAT THERE WAS A BIGGER PROBLEM THAN JUST THE KITCHEN LIGHT. THE LAST MESSAGE I LEFT HIM WAS AROUND 5:00 PM ON TUE. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK FOR THE ''NO SHOW'' OR A RESCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. I CALLED ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN THIS MORNING (THURS. 12/16/04) AND THEY WILL BE ABLE TO FIRST COME OVER MONDAY MORNING. HOPEFULLY I WON'T HAVE A FIRE IN THE WALLS BEFORE THAT DAY.

FAIR PRICE, GOOD QUALITY WORK, ETC., BUT THEY FAILED TO SHOW ON SEVERAL DAYS THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE HERE AND DID NOT CALL. THIS WAS A LITTLE FRUSTRATING. IF YOU CAN PUT UP WITH THAT, I WOULD RECOMMEND USING THEM. THEY HAD THE BEST SOLUTION FOR SOLVING OUR PROBLEMS COMPARED TO OTHERS WHO QUOTED ON THE WORK.

THIS WAS A BIG JOB AND THEY WORKED HARD AND DID A GREAT JOB. THEY SHOWED GOOD DISCRETION IN ADVISING US ON WHICH WORK WAS NECESSARY.

OVERALL, I WAS PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY WERE TIMELY IN RESPONDING TO MY INITIAL CALL MESSAGE. CLEAN UP WAS NOT SO GOOD. HOWEVER, I HAD A SMALLER BONE TO PICK WITH THEIR LABOR BILLING/CHARGING PRACTICES ON THIS JOB. THE ELECTRICIANS ACTUAL TIME SPENT WAS 3.5 HRS. AND NOT THE 4.0 HRS. I WAS CHARGED FOR THIS JOB. I MADE THE APPROPRIATE ADJUSTING DEDUCTION ON THE CHECK I HAD WRITTEN WHEN THE BILL WAS MAILED IN. IF YOU HIRE THEM, CHECK THAT YOU'RE NOT OVER BILLED FOR ANY JOB. OTHERWISE, THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND THEY'RE WORTHY OF A RECOMMENDATION.

I HAD 2 OTHER ESTIMATES THAT RANGED FROM $1,700 TO OVER $2,000. THEY CAME IN AND DID IT FOR $300! I HAVE A NEW ELECTRICIAN NOW! THEY ARE PROMPT. THE PRICE IS FANTASTIC, AND THEY ARE EASY TO WORK WITH.

OVERALL, WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE JOB DONE. HOWEVER, THE PORCH LIGHT WAS MOUNTED A BIT CROOKED INITIALLY, BUT THEY CAME BACK OUT A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER INITIAL JOB AND RECTIFIED THE SITUATION. DID REQUIRE A COUPLE OF CALLS TO GET THIS DONE, BUT THE OWNER WAS AGREEABLE ABOUT THE WHOLE THING.
