David came within a week of calling even though this was before Christmas. We have used him in the past 20 years ago and still does excellent work. Would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Needed my baby grand piano tuned before Christmas. Dave came by within a week of my calling and did an excellent job.

His scheduling was very easy, it was done through his website. Then he did the reminders which is very helpful for busy people. That was helpful that he did the automatic reminders and when I originally ha s made a mistake on appointment, I called him and said no problem, send me an email and we'll cancel that and set up a new appointment. Then he asked if I had any questions, you know right up front, so that was nice to know on the first phone call. Then he came today and I have no idea what to expect. He kind of explained what he'd be doing. Also let my 9 year old son see what he was doing. You know of like telling him a little bit of what he was doing but my son didn't hang out too much cause he didn't want to bother him even though he said it was okay for him to observe and learn.

I booked this company because he provided online booking capabilities, any time I can book services WITHOUT having to call, leave a message, and wait for them to call me back at a time I'm not in front of my calendar is wonderful! I went on his website and selected the day and time that worked for me, I received a confirmation and shortly before my booked time slot, I received a text message that he was on his way. He was very polite, respected my home, completed his work and put everything back as it was before leaving. My piano was very very out of tune having not been tuned in more than 10 years, he showed me the tone it started at and explained how far he would be able to tune it without risking damage to the piano, he tuned it as far as he could, but assured me that for my six year old, who is now learning, that it will now sound right for her level of play. He recommended tuning every year or so for the next few years until we get it back to where it really should be. Before leaving he showed my on his meter, where the tone now fell so I could see the outputs of his work. I am very pleased with this experience and will definitely be recommending him to anyone who owns a piano.

Dave Hulbert is a highly trained professional at tuning, reconditioning and repair.  He would be qualified to tune, repair and voice an instrument.  It went very well.  We wound up purchasing a reconditioned piano from him, and it is excellent also.

David showed up on time, and tuned our piano which hadn't been done in almost 12 years.  He did an excellent job with this, and we can definitely tell the diffrerence in sound.  He also showed me how to dust parts of the piano.  We would definitely recommend his piano tuning/repair services to anyone...he did a great job!

David was friendly and responsive from the time of my call. He set a date a week out to tune the piano, came on time, let us know what he found and did a wonderful job. The piano is old, and David pointed out that it could be made to sound even better were he to do some restoration work. But we are older adults; and if my husband were not playing only for his own pleasure, we might have chosen to have this more extensive -- and expensive -- work done.

Tuned piano and offered additional info about condition of the piano that might be addressed in the future. Excellent interaction .

I called for a piano tuning on an old upright. He said the piano needed repair and was beyond bringing back to even a passable tuning. He recommended saving for a good used piano. He did not charge for the house call and professional opinion.

Everything was good. We'll use him again.

I have read the reviews and picked up Hulbert Piano.
My piano had no turing service for very long time. David spent a lot of extra time for it.

He said that It was very hard to and quot;pitchand quot; since the piano and quot;goneand quot; too far.
After he has done the service, I felt some keys were not correct, it might be moved again. I called David, and he came back a few days late.
After second turing, my piano is a lot of better.

I am very happy with him and he is a professional. He is a concert tuner technician and he does tuning, sales, repairs and rentals. He has a piano store where he handles pianos and everything. He is very good and he plays the instrument as well. He knows what he is doing. I had a piano tuner for 35 years so getting a new one was scary but he is excellent. I am a senior citizen so if I downsize I have already talked to him about it.

Dave has tuned the piano several times after rebuilding it for me. Very happy all around with all services. Usually needs a couple weeks lead time for tuning, but is punctual and very professional. Piano is in tune when he's done. I'm also satisfied with the rebuilding. It took many months and was a pretty complete rebuild. Piano looks and sounds great.

David scheduled an appointment with me right away, and even when he was a few moments late he kept in excellent contact via cell phone about his arrival time. I got a piano for free, and it was REALLY out of tune. He pulled the piano apart, discovered that mice had been in it in the previous owner's home (!), and then cleaned the whole thing out! He then did an initial tuning, and the piano works GREAT for its age and condition. He was so nice about the whole thing (I can't imagine it's that fun to work on kinda junky pianos), and I'm so happy with the results. I'll call him again with it's time for a re-tune.
